€43,000 three-year-old, Yeats gelding is a half-brother to multiple winners, including very smart hurdler/chaser Mala Beach. Pulled up sole point-to-point outing, may need some time.
Gelding by Milan out of a Danehill Dancer mare. Cost €38,000 as a three-year-old. Couple of wide margin defeats so far, appears one for longer term.
Shirocco gelding out of a Pairumani Star mare €18,000 buy as a three-year-old. Pulled up in Tramore novice contest this month over timber.
By Kalanisi out of a Montelimar mare. €58,000 purchase for the yard, progress on second hurdles start when fourth of 20 at Naas (2m3f, yielding) this month. Can do better.
Well held in a bumper at Fairyhouse, bred for jumping and worth a look in the betting now going over the flights.
Won 12-runner bumper at Seiches-Sur-Le-Loir (1m5½f, good) before leaving France. Given plenty time since arriving in Closutton, needs maximum respect now coming to the track.
Impressive winner of a Gowran Park maiden for Ger Lyons before joining new connections for €85,000. Disappointing in 2m Tipperary maiden hurdle in May, should do better in time.
Offered something to work on when fifth on hurdles bow at Thurles last month in a hood (retained), goes up in trip now and could harbour place claims.
Vocalised gelding, well held in three career bumper starts. Finished moderate third (beaten 20L) on hurdles bow at Cork over 2m. Must improve on bare form.
Malinas gelding. half-brother to two-time winner Inflexiball. Promise in both bumpers early last season, though less so on debut for this yard at Punchestown in April. Back from layoff, may do better now jumping.
Lightly-raced, nothing spectacular in bumper form and finished fifth in a novice hurdle over this sort of trip at Punchestown last month. More called for here.
Rio De La Plata gelding, half-brother to a 2m1f hurdle winner as well three Flat scorers from 5f-1m. Unseated very early on debut at this track two days ago having gone off a 66/1 chance.
Winner of two bumpers at Sligo and Listowel early in the summer, though found it much tougher on hurdles bow at Gowran Park (2m, good) in October. Up in trip, was supported in that contest so worth noting.
Scored a couple of times on the AW at Dundalk after leaving Joseph O'Brien, rated in the 80s on the Flat. Not without hope here and Conor Orr's claim is a help.
Unfancied 33/1 shot in a Navan maiden hurdle this month, ran accordingly and needs a chunk of improvement.
Fair form in a couple of point-to-point starts in the spring, only fifth in mares' maiden hurdle at Tramore this month on debut, more called for here.
Forecasts
Elite Charboniere (4/6), Charmed Life (6/1), Malinas Jack (8/1), Erratic Path (10/1), The Red Menace (12/1), Foxy Jacks (20/1), Diol Ker (20/1), Let The Heirs Walk (33/1), Niccolai (33/1), Write It Down (40/1), Atypical (50/1), Rio De Cerisy (66/1), Wooster (66/1), Baily Gorse (100/1), Pino Boy (100/1), Bertoni (100/1)
ELITE CHARBONIERE cost a fair penny after winning his second start in a French bumper. The champion trainer has taken his time unleashing another fine prospect in the Ricci silks and they can grab the opener here. Charmed Life has fair prospects of running well while Malinas Jack is likely much better than he showed in the spring in one run. Wooster was decent on the Flat and should be capable of making an impact in this sphere.
- Elite Charboniere
- Wooster
- Charmed Life
