Dual winner for Brian Ellison last year but only ran once for Roger Charlton, a seventh of nine back in May and finished down the field on recent debut for this trainer at Kempton. Should be fitter now.
On a long losing run since 2016 and yet to win for this yard but shaped well on Fibresand at Southwell over this trip last month and forgiven poor run back there over marathon trip since. Not overlooked.
2015 Queens Vase runner-up who has struggled since, falling a long way in the weights in doing so. Better effort last week over this trip at Lingfield (second) and could turn a corner here.
Frankel filly who has shaped well in three novice starts on turf during the summer. Returns from a break for AW/handicap bow and is very much one to pay attention to here.
Seven-race maiden is knocking on the door after runner-up finishes here (1m1½f) in September and Kempton (1m3f) following month. Should be in the firing line again for new trainer.
Course winner over shorter in the past, Windsor win back in August proves this trip is in his wheelhouse but was disappointing at Kempton (1m4f, AW) in only run since.
Nine-race maiden on the Flat with more to prove than most in this line-up, though did shape with promise over 1m1½f here earlier in the month and could be a threat with a repeat having done his best work late on.
Nicely-related Camelot filly, showed some promise in trio of 2017 maidens at trips to 1m½f. Absent 448 days and market should reveal plenty upped in distance for handicap bow.
Back on a workable mark after some moderate performances and not without each-way claims, but overall record of 1-36 ensure he's not the sort to be getting in deep with.
Best efforts have come on turf and yet to win on the AW, but he produced his best effort in this sphere when less than 2L fourth of 11 over C&D 11 days ago and isn't without hope if building on that, albeit this is a higher grade.
Forecasts
Tommy Docc (4/1), Francophilia (9/2), Purple Rock (9/2), Pilot Wings (11/2), Isle Of Avalon (15/2), Carp Kid (8/1), Flood Defence (12/1), Bounderby (12/1), Epitaph (20/1), Roar (20/1)
2015 Queens Vase runner-up TOMMY DOCC produced a much better effort at Lingfield last time (second) than we'd seen for a while. He could well get back in the winners' circle here with a reap effort. Pilot Wings twice finished second in similar company before departing Richard Hannon's yard and should get off the mark soon while Francophilia needs close scrutiny on her handicap bow. The long-absent Isle Of Avalon also makes a first handicap start and will be noted in the betting.
- Tommy Docc
- Francophilia
- Pilot Wings
