Tongue-tie goes on for her debut for a yard that are 0-12 in this sphere over the past five years. Only cost £700 as a four-year-old; looks an unlikely winner even in this modest event.
Trainer won this race last year but will do well to repeat that feat with this one who showed more temperament than ability on her debut. Held up and hung badly on that first try and will need to show far more to get involved here.
Left her Wetherby (1m4f, soft) bumper form well behind on her return from a break at Kelso when upped in trip to 2m (started 100-1). Beaten 13L but the form has been franked by the winner (won a Listed bumper) and the sixth; leading chance.
Two attempts in bumpers separated by a break of seven months at Hexham and Newcastle have produced very little. Unlikely to provide the yards first bumper winner in five years.
Yard are 0-9 in bumpers this season and they've had just one in the last five seasons but this one has Flat winners in the pedigree. Worth noting in the market on debut for a more than capable small yard.
Attracted support on her debut in a small-field Musselburgh bumper but tailed to match the expectations of the market making little impression. Should be capable of better but has to show more to get involved here; yard 0-6 in bumpers this season.
Hood fitted for her second bumper start with the first having come in a Huntingdon Listed event where she offered little. Is related to a few winners over jumps but looks as though she may need more time; rare runner here for her yard.
100-1 on her debut at Hexham and she ran better than that price suggested despite not settling fully. That run wouldn't be good enough to put her in with a winning chance though and not one to be interested in.
£26,000 purchase who had winning form in Irish point-to-points for a yard that do well in bumpers here (12-46; 26% all time). By Fame And Glory her dam was a hurdle winner; it would be no surprise to see her run well on Rules debut.
Yard have a fair record in bumpers and this one has winners from the Flat and over jumps in her pedigree. Wouldn't need to be to be out of the ordinary to figure on her debut with a positive market move to be noted.
Forecasts
Takingitallin (7/4), Dares To Dream (3/1), Danced Every Dance (4/1), Midnight Glen (15/2), Wee Tiger Tots (9/1), Heads Up Clemmie (16/1), Jo Cashflow (25/1), Betty Petch (33/1), She's A Primadiva (66/1), Dorothy's Flame (100/1)
There doesn’t appear to be much strength in depth in this closing bumper and with the Donald McCain team having a good record in bumpers here, his debutante TAKINGITALLIN is taken to make a winning start to her career. Wee Tiger Tots is another debut runner from a respected yard who have a decent pedigree and she won’t need to be out of the ordinary to figure. Of those that have run Dares To Dream showed improved form to finish runner-up to a subsequent Listed winner last time; her experience should be put to good use.
