Takes a big drop in class having run in decent event at Aintree on his first start for new connections earlier this month. Won four times in Ireland for Gordon Elliott and has a big chance if anywhere near old form.

Has run some fair races in defeat since landing Kempton handicap hurdle in April. Still 8lb higher but may strip fitter than when third at this level at Leicester last time.

Claimed out of Olly Murphy's yard earlier this month after winning at Ludlow but made no show in Flat event at Chelmsford following week. Decent claimer allowed 5lb so not out of it if back on song.

Ideally suited by heavy ground so connections will be hoping for rain. 7lb higher than win at Lingfield last winter and not seen since April. Races for first time since undergoing wind surgery and has plenty to do.

Went close in non-selling handicap hurdle at Hexham last month but failed to shine back there last time out. Nearly two years since last win and doesn't look especially well handicapped on balance.

Well served by testing ground and twice finished runner-up under those conditions last spring. Not raced since April but yard has been among winners of late so not without hope despite being 7lb out of the handicap.

12lb out of the handicap so appears to have a mountain to climb on these terms. Only two wins have come in poor affairs at Fakenham and a big leap of faith need to support him to score at this venue.

Forecasts

Minella Fiveo (5/2), Jetstream Jack (3/1), Let's Sway (4/1), Regulation (5/1), Stolberg (7/1), Hollywood All Star (12/1), Mullaghboy (20/1)

Verdict

This looks to rest between Jetstream Jack and REGULATION with marginal preference for the latter who is a previous C&D winner and wasn't disgraced last time out at Leicester in similar company. Jetstream Jack would be a good thing on the pick of his old form so it is a concern that connections drop him so steeply in class on only his second British outing. He is still very much feared though. Let's Sway and Hollywood All Star may get involved but both will do well to bustle up the likely market principals.
  1. Regulation
