C&D winner who put a poor run behind him when a better fifth here last time. More needed though off this current high AW mark.
Wore a visor on handicap debut (removed) when completely tailed off. Hard to make a case for on what we've seen so far but possible he could improve following an absence and on course debut. Worth a market check.
Stable won this last year and broke through in commanding style over this C&D. Disappointed next time off revised mark but was better at Wolverhampton and possible a drop back to her winning trip could suit.
Just two wins from 24 starts for Jo Hughes but now 13lb lower than the last of them. Needs to leave last month's poor form behind but acts on this surface and worth keeping an eye on in the betting on debut for a shrewd yard.
14-race maiden who came in for strong support on stable debut when fading late over 1m2f after racing on a strong pace. Drops in trip and first-time blinkers on and may have more to offer.
Remains a maiden after 12 starts but on an attractive mark based on the best of his form from last year for Brian Meehan. However has shown little in three starts for new yard and best watched on course debut following an absence.
Third over 5f on fibresand debut when keeping on late. Remains an eight-race maiden but may now have more to offer on this surface and has fallen to a very low mark. Rates a leading hope.
Well beaten at long odds on all seven starts and needs to find vast improvement on course debut following a lengthy absence and wind surgery.
16-race maiden who showed bits of promise earlier in the year but form has gone in the wrong direction since and gelding operation failed to spark any revival the last twice.
Declaration Of War colt, cost 180,000 gns as a yearling when unraced for Aidan O'Brien. Tailed off on first three runs before running on late over an inadequate 5f on fibresand debut. Improvement expected over this trip and can go close.
Forecasts
Bee Machine (5/2), Don't Do It (3/1), Bond Angel (11/2), Foreign Legion (7/1), Diamond Pursuit (15/2), First Breath (11/1), Thunder Buddy (14/1), Sir Walter (33/1), Westfield Wonder (40/1), Prince Consort (66/1)
FOREIGN LEGION was outpaced early on his first run here but the way he hit the line looks one to follow on this surface over a more suitable distance. Likewise First Breath is attractively weighted and was also unsuited by the same sprint trip here last time and holds similar chances. In contrast Don't Do It is coming back in distance but the headgear could help and he had presumably been showing more at home prior to last month's stable debut.
