Beat Hollow gelding cost connections €62,000 and is related to multiple winners. Needs a betting check on first start.
2
Horse silk
100/1
Well held so far in bumpers and over hurdles, make very little appeal at this point going back up in distance.
Some promise shown on debut in a bumper at Fairyhouse in the spring, weakened on hurdles bow at Cork last month over 2m. Will need to improve for that outing.

Horse silk
50/1
Second runner of three for Padraig Roache in this field, first foal of a bumper/hurdle winner and by Milan. Earns the nod from Barry Geraghty.
5
Horse silk
10/1
Well-backed and did the job when scoring in a Listowel bumper in September on second start. Goes jumping now and may be capable of getting in the mix.
6
Horse silk
50/1
Showed plenty promise in bumpers back in the spring but going backwards more recently, failing to impress in hurdles starts at Cork and Fairyhouse. Jury is out now.
Winner in France in the spring, since purchases by Gigginstown and should be capable of a challenge for potent trainer/jockey combo on first start here.
8
Horse silk
33/1
Costly purchase as a three-year-old, nothing special in finishing third in one point-to-point start but in very good hands now going under rules first time, watch market.
Oscar newcomer out of a bumper winner. Second runner for the yard in this line-up and apparently second-best, though market will prove useful.
10
Horse silk
4/5
Nathaniel gelding, smart stayer on the Flat and a Listed winner for John Gosden. Dons famous silks for jumping career and with the champion trainer. Notable newcomer in this sphere.

100/1
By Scorpion and out of unraced sister to high-class chaser Hidden Cyclone. First start and may need the experience.
Dubai Destination gelding out a winning point winner, unlikely to be playing a leading role on this debut run.
14
Horse silk
100/1
Didn't get to the finish line in three starts in point-to-points, makes little appeal now embarking on rules career.
Sent off a 25/1 poke on rules bow at Punchestown last month, though ran with some promise when remote fourth behind Commander Of Fleet. This looks less taxing on paper.
16
Horse silk
66/1
Flat form nothing to shout about (maiden) and unlikely to make a splash on rules bow. May be one for the longer term.

Improved to be 10L second at Wexford in October, tackling this sort of trip for the first time on second start over timber. Worth noting in betting on the back of that effort.
18
Horse silk
100/1
Third contender for the trainer in this field, Milan gelding looks unlikely to be troubling the judge first time out.

Horse silk

Ran as well as a 66/1 chance could be expected to on hurdles bow at Fairyhouse this month over 2m2f on good ground. Needs to raise game to be in the mix here.

Poor record on the Flat, doesn't appeal as the sort to make any immediate impact now diverting his guise to this sphere.

Thurles bumper winner in March, ran well to be fourth of 29 in a Navan maiden hurdle this month (2m, good) and will have a leading role here if seeing out the extra yardage seemingly.

Verdict

YOUNG TED was a bumper winner in the spring and made a positive start over obstacles when finishing fourth in a big field at Navan. Noel Meade's charge goes up in distance and should be right in the mix with the experience in his favour. Face Facts was a Listed scorer on the level in England and must rate a big danger starting out for the champion trainer. Cruises Street earns Barry Geraghty's approval from the McManus-owned runners and could go well while Empire Escape, Embrun Mitja, Felicity's Choice and Drop The Anchor all merit close scrutiny.
  1. Young Ted
  2. Face The Facts
  3. Drop The Anchor
