First foal of the trainer's 2m-3m3f hurdle/chase winner Rosie All Over, who was 0-4 in bumpers but handled soft ground. Stable in good form, though this mare looks to be its second string on jockey bookings.
Has shown promise in both bumpers so far. Third, beaten 8L, at Wetherby last time, in what was not a bad race of this type. Should give a good account.
Cost £7,000 after finishing 6L second in an Irish point-to-point in March. In good hands and looks to be in-form stable's main hope on jockey bookings.
€5,500 foal. Second foal. Dam a bumper (second start)/2m hurdle winning full-sister to bumper/3m1f hurdle winner. Stable 12% in this discipline over past five seasons. Interesting newcomer.
Forecasts
Rosie And Millie (4/5), Shocona's Joy (15/8), Stainsby Girl (8/1), Rising Blush (14/1)
With Rising Blush apparently the Donald McCain team's second string, and their other runner Shocona's Joy a modest purchase, perhaps today is the day that ROSIE AND MILLIE can come good, after two promising efforts. Keep an eye on the market, for Stainsby Girl may not be out of this either on her debut.
- Rosie And Millie
- Shocona's Joy
- Stainsby Girl
