Showed very little in bumpers and even less over hurdles (pulled up twice) before being switched to the Flat and offering little in that sphere also. In two runs so far has only beaten one home and hard to see him being good enough here; headgear on.

Given some wind surgery after his initial bumper outing (finished last of 9) and two further races in the same sphere have yielded the same poor results. Switched to the Flat here last time over 1m was slow away and always behind; outclassed.

Only had one run for Dermot Weld in Ireland before being picked up cheaply by his current yard. Has looked to have some ability in minor events here over 1m and now steps up in trip with the handicap route yet to be explored.

First-run for this yard having previously been with George Peckham having twice shaped encouragingly in handicaps for that trainer. Has shown that he can act on the AW and now tries his longest trip back in novice company (has to be respected).

Bettered his debut effort 2nd time up at Sandown (still green) when finishing midfield but showing that he had ability. Failed to go on from that run when last seen at Bath (ground too quick); returns from a break on the AW for the first time.

Tomorrow's Angel42
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-10| J: Gary Halpin| T: I Jardine| OR:  68
11/4
Departed after two runs from David Simcock having shown little bit stepped forward on those runs on her initial run for this yard. Travelled better than most over C&D and there may be more to come from her possibly over further.

Forecasts

Persian Sun (11/10), Jawshan (9/4), Tomorrow's Angel (11/4), Middlescence (14/1), Fields Of Fire (100/1), Animated Hero (150/1)

Verdict

This isn’t a strong event by any means but it should give TOMORROW'S ANGEL a chance to build on her initial run for the Jardine yard over C&D where she showed much improved form having travelled well throughout the race. Her main rivals will be the two other three-year-olds in the race Persian Sun and Jawshan both of whom look capable of winning a race with the former likely to be the biggest danger, the latter being more one for handicaps. The handicap route may also be the one for Middlecence who has shown ability and is worth watching for the future but faces a tough task against the younger generation.
  1. Tomorrow's Angel
  2. Persian Sun
  3. Jawshan
