Makes his stable/handicap debut after showing little in bumpers for his former yard although he did improve and show some promise over hurdles (novice company). Tends to go from the front and worth a market check under the circumstances.

Looks to have been brought along gradually with handicaps very much in mind although it would take a leap of faith to support him in this sphere. Never a threat on his last run over 2m here and this mark may be a little too high.

Has been running in point-to-points and was last seen in a novice hunter chase at Sedgefield earlier in the year. 0-18 over hurdles (does have some placed form) and hard to seeing him being good enough to take a hand here.

Stable do well with their handicap runners and this fair Flat winner shaped much better in first-time cheekpieces when winning at Leicester last time. Still didn't look an easy ride though and the headgear will need to work again under a penalty.

Age: 7|  Weight: 11-2| J: Aaron Anderson(7)| T: L Egerton| OR:  90
15/2
Has some placed form to his name over hurdles (bumper winner) but looks held off this mark and would have only finished 3rd last time but for a late faller. Likely to find one or two too good here and a place (again) is the best he can hope for.

Had a rather mixed record when with his former yard (one standout effort) and was sold for £11,000 in September to current connections. Below form on his debut for this team and despite a falling mark makes very little appeal; quirky sort.

Makes his comeback from a long break having turned in an improved effort when fitted with headgear when last seen. Headgear (cheekpieces) now missing on his return and can only be watched at this juncture.

Still a maiden despite running the odd decent race most notably of late on his return to action at Ayr after a break (shaped better than the distance beaten). Went backwards from that run last time at the same venue; questions to answer now.

Racing from her proper mark helped when winning at Sedgefield in May when she appeared to appreciate the heavy ground. Hasn't matched that form since over a variety of distances and well below form last time.

Has regressed over the past few years and can't be considered to be much better than a poor handicapper these days. Out of the handicap here and would be a surprise winner even in this lowly grade.

Forecasts

Murchison River (7/2), Coisa Blanco (4/1), Lastin' Memories (9/2), Kennedys Field (9/2), Patience Tony (15/2), Art Of Supremacy (12/1), Dolly's Dot (16/1), Ashes Corner (16/1), Pads (22/1), Cadore (33/1), Le Gavroche (50/1)

Verdict

Not much quality in this opener to the card with several quirky and less than straightforward types on display. Lastin’ Memories would have chance on some of his form although a poor run last time has to be forgiven. Patience Tony looks as though he could run into another place with both Le Gavroche and Kennedys Field worth a market check on their handicap debuts. The cheekpieces will need to work again MURCHISON RIVER but he is a winner last time and he’s taken to follow up under a penalty.
