Showed no ill-effects from his summer break when lading the spoils at Bangor over 2m4f last month; registering his second win on the bounce in the process. However, an 8lb higher mark and half-mile longer trip may conspire against him today.
Been the model of consistency in his last few outings and deserves a change of fortune. Very possible the step up in trip will aid his cause and, as the gelding still has more to offer over fences, he's worth considering this time.
This is his time of year but the gelding needs to atone for a poor run last time out and this looks like a stronger contest. Others more appealing this time.
Stays well but hasn't won for just over two years and is actually still a maiden over fences. Has plenty to find on the face value of his last two outings.
Frequently made the journey from Cumbria to Musselburgh and likes the racing surface; placed three times from six previous visits. However, it's five years since he last got his head in front and he's hard to fancy from out of the weights again.
