This may be the day for ELMONO to gain reward for several consistent performances. The Lucinda Russell-trained gelding does need to prove he gets the trip but his willing attitude may be enough to see him through. Of the rest: Thyne For Gold is chasing a three-timer and appeals as the strongest candidate to throw a spanner in the works for the selection, where as Attention Please goes well at this time of year but needs to up his game after several moderate efforts during the last calendar year. That said, he still makes more appeal than both long-standing maiden Shaizar and Top Cat DJ, who has a stiff test ahead from out of the weights.
