A winner on debut at York but struggled when upped in class at Royal Ascot. Produced a much more promising run in the July Stakes at Newmarket when second to Advertise. That form sets the standard here.

Been largely in very good form all year and was well backed when winning a handicap off 85 at Newcastle last month. This will require a step forward but bang in form and respected.

Progressing all the time from modest beginnings, and very impressive when winning a nursery at Kempton two starts back. Disappointed back there in the Group 3 Sirenia last time and needs to bounce back.

C&D winner who has been on a large upward curve since moving into handicaps. Up a total of 24lbs now but was well on top here last time and likely there is going to be more to come.

Has been highly tried since winning on debut at Thirsk in June. Back to winning ways dropped to novice company last time and should be capable of challenging at this level.

Been acquitting herself well in handicaps of late without winning. Only beaten about a total of 4L in her last three starts. Needs more at this level but capable of being in the shake-up.

A progressive sprinter in good form having made all to win handicaps the last twice. Worth her place in this field and drawn well to attack. Goes up in trip.

Quiet Endeavour (2/1), Deputise (4/1), Sunsprite (4/1), You Never Can Tell (9/2), Charming Kid (11/2), Shining Armor (10/1), She Can Boogie (12/1), K Club (12/1), Fares Kodiac (14/1), Vee Man Ten (25/1)

Verdict

An open conditions event with plenty of these on the upgrade. Charming Kid sets the standard on his second in the July stakes but needs to bounce back from a poor run. Shining Armour has been a revelation since going handicapping and could well take the step up to this level. QUIET ENDEAVOUR struggled at Kempton up to Group 3 company last time but was sent off a short priced favourite so can bounce back here.
  1. Quiet Endeavour
  2. Charming Kid
  3. Shining Armor
