Useful chaser last season, respectable third over 2m4f (yielding) at Gowran Park recently in race won by Drumconnor Lad. 5lb better off now for an 8¾L defeat. Tough ask off top weight.
Won a decent handicap chase at Gowran Park (2m2f, heavy) in March but rather lost his way thereafter. Still 7lb higher now and suspicion he'll need this on reappearance.
Gallant effort in the Troytown over 3m last time, seeing off all bar one rival. Drops in distance and running from 4lb higher mark but will be a key player with a repeat effort.
Versatile performer is holding form well, going down battling in Listed contest at Thurles before running credibly in the Troytown here last month. Conor Orr gets on well with him and they are certainly entitled to claims.
Lightly-raced sort, won pair of novice chases around the turn of the year, including over C&D (heavy). Handicapper hasn't taken any undue risks with this opening mark on return to action.
Seems a tough one to get right, pulled up over C&D in September (good to firm) put it all together last time at Gowran Park (2m4f, yielding) to win (Jett third). Up 4lb but capable if arriving in same mood.
Going the right way in three starts over fences, placed twice and close fourth over this trip at Gowran Park latest. Should be in the mix once again and gets headgear added for this handicap bow. Mark seems fair.
Beginners' chase winner over this trip at Kilbeggan in June 2017, also landed Grade 3 heavy-ground novice chase over extended two-miles in September of same year. Lost way since and appears to be on tough mark for now.
Decent novice last season for Mouse Morris, winning back-to-back Naas contests over 2m4f in January/February. Fell early on stable bow at Gowran Park recently when fancied for race won by Drumconnor Lad.
Eight-race maiden over fences, has shown promise but pulled up on reappearance at Punchestown (2m4f, good) last month. Needs to bring something extra.
Has joined this trainer since winning over hurdles at Ffos Las (3m, soft) in April. In good hands and handicapped to have a chance on best form. Betting check needed.
Behind a few of these when finishing midfield in the Troytown over 3m here last time, in keeping with most of recent form. Hard to see him grabbing this prize.
Capable veteran who has come right down the weights. First start for Gordon Elliott and suspicion a longer trip is what he'll require to gain some momentum.
Hasn't got his head in front since 2015 but recent runner-up finishes at Downpatrick and Galway over slightly shorter trips advertised well-being. Not quite at that level latest at Wexford but not crossed off.
Hasn't convinced with his jumping in four previous starts over fences. In excellent tune here over hurdles recently (win and second) and rated much lower in this sphere.
Two chase wins came way back in 2015 in novice company. Has struggled in handicaps and seemingly had his problems. Back from 15 months off and sports first-time cheekpieces. Big ask first time out.
Likeable mare with 4-33 record over fences, not disgraced at Fairyhouse last week over 2m4f (good) in fourth of eight. This is tougher and must run off 3lb higher mark.
Forecasts
De Name Escapes Me (13/8), Burren Life (13/2), Solomn Grundy (8/1), Mr Diablo (9/1), Drumconnor Lad (11/1), Eight Till Late (12/1), Jett (12/1), Goose Man (12/1), Wishmoor (12/1), Scoir Mear (16/1), Kylecrue (25/1), Landofhopeandglory (25/1), Lamb Or Cod (25/1), Goulane Chosen (28/1), Presenting Mahler (33/1), Aurora Bell (33/1), Gentleman Duke (33/1)
De Name Escapes Me will catch plenty attention as he's been doing well over hurdles here and, being almost two stone lower over fences, is well-handicapped back in this sphere. He has work to do on his previous chase form however and is overlooked. WISHMOOR was popular in the betting on debut for Joseph O'Brien but never got beyond the third. He's got plenty scope for better and is given a chance to recoup the losses. Gallant Troytown second Mr Diablo and Eight Till Late need respecting while any money for Burren Life, Goose Man or Solomn Grundy would be notable.
