Successful over hurdles at Cork (3m, soft) in May, and while he will need to improve on that form now sent chasing, his yard has a reputation for improving similar types, and he's not ignored.

More experienced than most and claims on pick of his chase form, but not firing on all cylinders at present, so needs to raise his game.

Bitsandpieces18
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-12| J: D J McInerney(3)| T: M Winters| OR:  105| D
4/1
Yard in fine form, and he posted a career-best effort when winning over hurdles at Cork (2m) last month. Not certain to build on that given stop-start career, but is lightly raced for his age, and has a chaser's physique.

Cappacon14
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-12| J: B Browne(5)| T: O McKiernan
12/1
Well placed to win twice in handicap hurdles this term, and holding his form well, but goes chasing rather late in life, and others may have his measure.
A fairly useful hurdler, but well held on chasing debut at Wexford lin October over this trip. Needs to improve to get involved in this company.

Did manage to win a handicap hurdle here in October, but that was a low-grade affair, and he's been well held since, switched to fences last time with no discernible benefit. Will be better off back in handicaps.
7
Horse silk
25/1
Won a handicap hurdle here in May, and has shown enough over fences to suggest he will be winning in this sphere. Has finished weakly on last two starts, though, and needs his A-game here.
8
Horse silk
40/1
Won a weak maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse early this year, but not progressed, and soundly beaten on chase debut at Cork last month after a break.

Monatomic22
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: D N Russell| T: G Elliott
11/8
Finished a highly creditable second of 8 in a rated novice at Fairyhouse (2m) last month, jumping well on the whole. Should take all the beating with normal improvement.

Horse silk
10/1
Just fair form on first two starts in this sphere, but was set to win when unseating his rider at Cork last time, and a repeat of that improved effort would put him in the mix.
12
Horse silk
10/1
Won a novice hurdle in the mud here in March, but took a crashing fall on his chase bow at Cork last month, and needs to prove he's none the worse for that mishap.
13
Horse silk
The Jam Man11
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: D E Mullins| T: R McNally| OR:  109
25/1
Winner of handicap hurdles at Hexham and Southwell earlier this season, but well held in two starts over fences, and will be better off when running in handicaps in this sphere.
14
Horse silk
Big Robinp1,t26
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: Dillon Maxwell(7)| T: A McNamara
50/1
Promising sort over hurdles for Nicky Henderson, but has shown very little in two starts over fences for current yard, and not easy to fancy on recent evidence.
15
Horse silk
Castafiore Park18
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: B J Cooper| T: P Nolan| BF
8/1
Dual hurdles winner earlier in the year, and bowled along on chase debut at Cork (favourite) until found out by lack of fitness/stamina. Drops in trip now, and one to consider.

Billy's Angelt28
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: Sean Flanagan| T: A Murray
28/1
Front-running maiden hurdler, who was back to form in blinkers when fifth of 10 to Bay Hill at Thurles last time. Headgear left off for chase debut, and others preferred.

Monatomic (11/8), Bitsandpieces (4/1), Castafiore Park (8/1), R'evelyn Pleasure (10/1), Poker Party (10/1), Cappacon (12/1), Frankiefiveangels (12/1), Aherlow (14/1), One First Cut (14/1), Chateauneuf Du Pap (20/1), Muroor (20/1), Loupgarou (25/1), The Jam Man (25/1), Billy's Angel (28/1), Baby Jake (33/1), Maeve's Choice (40/1), Big Robin (50/1), Dundeedy Lad (66/1)

Verdict

MONATOMIC shaped really starting out over fences at Tramore, and again looked a winner in waiting at Fairyhouse, so is taken to make it third time lucky. Like Monatomic on his debut, Poker Party would have won but for a late mishap last time, and he looks the biggest threat ahead of Castafiore Park, who probably needed the run on his chase bow.
  1. Monatomic
  2. Poker Party
  3. Castafiore Park
