Followed up a C&D victory on good ground two months ago with a good second at Worcester (2m4f, good) three weeks later. Interesting contender under a penalty.
Placed in a couple of point-to-points but well held in two starts over hurdles so far and likely to be of more interest once tackling handicaps.
Placed in a point-to-point over 2m4f in June. Well beaten over C&D on Rules debut last month and others hold stronger claims.
Placed in a couple of point-to-points in Ireland. Struggled under Rules prior to that however and probably best watched on debut for this yard.
Five time winning chaser and currently rated 128 in that sphere. Drop in trip should suit following a heavy defeat in a handicap chase over an extended 3m5f at Cartmel (good) in May.
Broke his maiden at the fifth time of asking in point-to-points when winning by 6L on soft ground in May. Pulled up on last months Rules debut.
Placed in a point-to-point in Ireland and signs of ability in a couple of bumpers so far. Beaten 27L over an extended 2m at Newbury (good-to-soft) last time out and interesting to see how he fares upped in trip on hurdling debut.
Placed on his sole point-to-point start and finished 17L second in a 2m7f novice hurdle at Bangor (good-to-soft) on Rules debut last month. Likely to run well once more.
Dual winner in September 2016. Unraced since and probably best watched in a first time tongue tie and cheekpieces on hurdles and stable debut.
Struggled in three starts under Rules and probably best watched upped in trip following a 67L defeat over an extended 2m3f at Wetherby (good) last time.
Pulled up off marks in the 80's in two starts last season. Had wind surgery since and tongue tie tried on return to action.
Forecasts
Commodore Barry (8/13), Notachance (5/2), Nearly Perfect (7/1), Gonalston Cloud (8/1), Gatacre Street (50/1), Hahadi (50/1), Royal Reef (50/1), Cavalry Scout (66/1), Fenjack (100/1), The Junior Man (200/1), Stripe Of Honour (250/1)
COMMODORE BARRY can defy a penalty to take this staying novice hurdle. The selection is chasing a hat-trick and can see off Notachance who performed well to place on debut under Rules last time. Third place can go the way of Gonalston Cloud who is better known for his exploits over fences.
