Irish raider, winner of three of his 23 hurdles starts and is having a quick turnaround after being well beaten in a chase at Thurles on Thursday (had little chance). Good pilot booked and market best guide as to chance.
Model of consistency and continued that with an excellent third in a better contest than this at Ascot last month. Drop back in trip no issue and if getting a decent pace to aim at, will have his chance late on.
Winner at Warwick last time (third has won a little race since), looking the winner some way out and finding plenty for pressure. 8lb rise still leaves him below initial handicap mark and he looks sure to be on the premises.
Made light of an easy task at Worcester in July and was in the process of running a nice race in a competitive event at Cheltenham when making a mess of the last latest. Wouldn't need much more to be in the firing line here.
Good-looking grey that finally came good at Hereford last time, awarded the race in the stewards room after getting a bump late on. Found more for pressure there than has been the case, so maybe the penny has dropped. Good chance again.
Stablemate of My Manekineko, form over hurdles is moderate and she's not won a race since 2015. Nevertheless, decent pilot booked and conditions fine, so adds more intrigue to a puzzle of a race.
Forecasts
Master Work (6/5), World Premier (11/4), The Twisler (7/2), Amanto (10/1), Comehere Hi (25/1), My Manekineko (33/1)
The hardest puzzle of the day to solve and one made harder by the fact all six like to be held up, to various extents. As such, some caution is needed. WORLD PREMIER might be the one least inconvenienced by a slow pace, as he does have some speed, and is taken to come out on top. The market will tell us what's expected of the Nash pair of My Manikineko and Comehere HiAmanto tends to need a good pace to come off, so Master Work may be a bigger danger.
- World Premier
- Master Work
