Very inconsistent and often let down by hurdling technique. Winner at Sedgefield in October but two subsequent efforts nowhere near that. Obvious chance again on the figures but not one for maximum faith in.

Twice a winner in better grade last winter but two moderate efforts last couple. Drops in grade again here and good chance if refinding best form, but that's a risk.

Much more consistent than some of his rivals but form in selling/claiming grade doesn't match the form managed by others, so it's a bit of a conundrum. Trip and ground fine though and should at least run his race again.

Going nowhere quickly at present and was soon seen off at Lingfield latest, although heavy ground a possible excuse. Even best form leaves him some way short of what's required here, though.

Kitsune28
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-7| J: C Gethings| T: D P Quinn

Has beaten the grand sum of three horses home in seven starts and hard to see why she should be doing a lot better here, moderate as this race is.

Forecasts

Cabernet D'Alene (1/1), Excellent Team (11/4), Vancouver (10/3), Bazooka (14/1), Kitsune (100/1)

Verdict

All five have questions against them. Excellent Team looks most likely to run his race and it's possible that might be good enough, but if either Vancouver or CABERNET D'ALENE puts it in then they are probably going to be too good. Vancouver's hurdling can let him down at times so a chance is taken that Cabernet D'Alene is going to bounce back, with this drop in grade hopefully the catalyst.
  1. Cabernet D'Alene
  2. Excellent Team
  3. Vancouver
