Newcomer by Canford Cliffs cost €28,000 as a foal as a half-brother to three winners from 6f-2m. Basically flat bred so such a test may suit on debut but hood never a positive on a newcomer.
Beat all bar a well-backed newcomer on debut at Carlisle last month and current connections paid £65,000 for him on the back of that. In a race with little form to go on he appears to have the best on offer.
Newcomer by Sholokhov out of a dual bumper winner from a good family in similar contests. Certainly one of the more likely newcomers on pedigree so market check advised.
Newcomer by Intikhab out of a French 1m4f winning sister to 1m4f Flat/2m3f-2m6f hurdle/chase winner Questimato. Trainer record in bumpers only ordinary so others appeal more.
Son of sparingly used sire Barastraight cost €25,000 at auction last season as a half-brother to five winners in France including prolific bumper/hurdle scorer Val D'Eauzun. Yard already had six bumper wins this term so leading fancy on debut.
Newcomer by Nathaniel changed hands three times at auction the most recently for £13,000. Dam was unplaced and yet to throw anything of note so easy to overlook with trainer 0-49 in bumpers the last five years.
Made a promising start at Huntingdon last month when fourth of 16 in a similar contest to this. That form puts her in the mix and with further progress likely she has to be considered one of the more likely sorts here.
Newcomer by Japanese sire Legolas cost £3,000 at auction as the second foal out of a French 2m hurdle winner. Yard not known for bumper performers and hood worn not encouraging.

Book Of Invasions (5/2), Ahorsewithnoname (11/4), Dilson (9/2), Fuseau (11/2), Furia D'Oudairies (13/2), Egypt Mill Duke (9/1), Bempton Cliffs (11/1), Kaizer (20/1), Fazamour (50/1)
BOOK OF INVASIONS likely met a smart sort on debut at Carlisle but performed well to finish second. That form looks the pick on offer here and with more to come he gets the nod to go one better. Furia D'Oudairies lone run in France was a positive one and the suspicion is that race was above average so she is a major threat for Gary Moore. Of the newcomers of which there are six Alan King's Fuseau makes the most appeal.
