9/4
Improved in three starts over hurdles and encouraging second on chase bow at Bangor over 2m4f when runner-up (winner scored again next time). Entitled to go close in this field.
2
Horse silk
Court Duty24
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: R T Dunne| T: J L Flint| OR:  105| D
7/1
Hurdles winner, improved effort on second start over fences at Hereford (2m5f, good to firm) this month, though still left with more to dig out.
3
Horse silk
Windspielt17
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-10| J: Tom Cannon| T: D W P Arbuthnot| OR:  103
9/2
Towcester winner in May (2m, good) and latest Kempton second (2m2f, good) was another pleasing effort. Up in trip and should run his race if ground doesn't easy any further.
4
Horse silk
Captain Simonp30
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-9| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR:  102| BF| D
6/1
Point-to-point winner on only start in that sphere, also possesses some useful hurdles form and is an interesting contender on chase bow for the Skelton brothers.
5
Horse silk
Between The Watersp,t24
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-8| J: Page Fuller(3)| T: Jamie Snowden| OR:  101| BF
6/1
Exposed, winner over 2m5½f at Fontwell in October and twice second over much longer trips since at Plumpton (latest when beaten 45L). Should prove vulnerable to a few of these.
6
Horse silk
Agent Memphisp112
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: David Bass| T: K Bailey & M Nicholls| OR:  98
16/1
Lightly-raced maiden over timber, could make up into a better chaser in time but hard to come out strongly in support on first attempt.
7
Horse silk
Cnoc Sionp30
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-5| J: Brendan Powell| T: R Brotherton| OR:  84| D
8/1
Caused a 66/1 shock at Bangor in October and displayed much-improved form in doing so, raised 5lb and far from the most likely to repeat the dose now.
8
Horse silk
Run Don't Hidet18
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-0| J: Jack Sherwood(3)| T: P Henderson| OR:  76
14/1
Lacks a bit for consistency, though could be given a squeak on his best form. Poor on reappearance at Ffos Las (2m, heavy) this month when unfancied in the betting.
9
Horse silk
St Merrynt130
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-0| J: Charlie Hammond(5)| T: B R Summers| OR:  74
20/1
Ten-race maiden, last spotted at Stratford (2m4f, good) in a conditionals contest in July when never posing any sort of threat. Others preferred on return.

Forecasts

Cuddles Mcgraw (9/4), Windspiel (9/2), Between The Waters (6/1), Captain Simon (6/1), Court Duty (7/1), Cnoc Sion (8/1), Run Don't Hide (14/1), Agent Memphis (16/1), St Merryn (20/1)

Verdict

The form of CUDDLES MCGRAW's chase bow second at Bangor was boosted when the winner won again next time out and Fergal O'Brien's lightly-raced sort can go one better here with that experience in his corner. Windspiel has already won in this sphere and against shaped well at Kempton last time, ensuring he needs a look. Point-to-point winner Captain Simon may have more about him than Cnoc Sion, a surprise winner last time at Bangor.
  1. Cuddles Mcgraw
  2. Windspiel
  3. Captain Simon
