Irish import who has struggled in three runs on turf since joining his current trainer. AW form is much superior, however, and he could do better returned to his preferred surface,
Has been struggling over hurdles and fences since undergoing wind surgery in September. Back on the Flat with an AW record of 1-2 so not ruled out.
Not at his best when last seen on turf in the summer. Has undergone wind surgery since then and AW record is decent so it would be no surprise to see him bounce back.
Stable companion of Sebastian's Wish who has been well beaten on the AW on his last two starts. Needs to bounce back, but handicap rating is falling.
Series of solid efforts which include a couple of wins at Chelmsford. Handicapper has not been too severe, but this represents a drop in trip and that may not suit.
Won a maiden on turf when trained by Aidan O'Brien, but showed little on first start for current trainer at Chelmsford. Down 4lb, sports cheekpieces and has few miles on the clock.
Not at her best on turf and the AW this autumn, but handicapper is starting to relent and she is 1lb lower than her last winning mark.
Both wins in five AW starts have been achieved over C&D, latterly when getting up in the last 100yds last month. Up 4lb, but has plenty in his favour.
Good second over 1m2f when last seen in action at Wetherby in June. Slowly away before staying on that day so this longer distance could suit. Unproven on this surface, however.
Without a win this year and last effort on turf in July was underwhelming. Should do better back on the AW, but may need this outing.
Promise on first of three starts for David Simcock. Has been gelded and makes his stable/handicap debut, so he is worth a check in the betting.
Forecasts
Charlie D (2/1), Cry Wolf (9/2), Aircraft Carrier (9/2), All My Love (7/1), Tan Arabiq (10/1), Play It Cool (12/1), Tommy Docc (25/1), Sebastian's Wish (25/1), Primogeniture (33/1), Escape Clause (33/1), Qayed (40/1)
Top-weights Play It Cool and Primogeniture may do better returned to the AW, but a safer proposition looks to be CHARLIE D, both of whose wins have been achieved over C&D. He is in good heart and can account for Sebastian's Wish, who looks the stronger of his stable's two runners. Cry Wolf may be next best despite this trip being on the short side, while Aircraft Carrier is unexposed and is worth monitoring in the betting.
- Charlie D
- Sebastian's Wish
- Cry Wolf
