Stable going well of late and this one was a Flat winner back in April over 1m4f; form generally went backwards in that sphere afterwards. Below form when returned to hurdles recently over C&D (last of three) in a better grade; now dropped 4lb.
Maiden hurdler who has showed some useful form in France but failed to match that in Ireland and now has his first run for this yard having had a brief sojourn back in France. Hard to know what to expect running off his French handicap mark.
Blotted his copybook when refusing to race over hurdles in the spring but ran respectably on the Flat after that. Looks a reformed character of late over hurdles (with cheekpieces fitted) winning and running well in a trio of Fontwell races.
Well suited by conditions (2m, soft) when turning in his best hurdles run for quite some while at Hexham last time; has signalled he was coming back to form. Up in trip here but should cope and off the same mark (116) with headgear refitted.
Course winner over 2m but hasn't shown his form for a while and although he's slipped back below his last winning mark he has something to prove still. Well held last time on his return from a wind op at Kelso and plenty to prove now.
Capable of some decent Flat form in the past (given a light campaign this year in that sphere; just three runs). Falling in the weights over hurdles and wore headgear for the first-time in this sphere when well beaten here over 2m last time.
Flat stayer (dual AW winner) who failed to win on turf in that sphere and while he has proved consistent over hurdles his jumping remains a problem area. Cheekpieces worn for the first-time at Hexham are retained as he returns to handicaps.
Formerly a useful sort on the Flat he's only recorded one win over hurdles but has tumbled in the weights in this sphere (rated 135 at one point). Well backed when 2nd at Cartmel in the summer (run two poor Flat races since); market watch advised.
Returned from a long absence (595 days) when shaping well last time at Hereford over this trip to make his handicap debut; not knocked around. Dropped 1lb for that run but now adorned with a first-time tongue-tie; one to watch in the market.
Returning back from a fair absence having proved inconsistent when last seen. Is a course winner over 2m when gaining his only win over hurdles but likely to need this run and others offer more upside.

Always Resolute (13/8), Sleepy Haven (9/2), Global Ruler (11/2), Blue Hussar (13/2), Wind Place And Sho (8/1), Age Of Glory (10/1), Sheriff Garrett (12/1), Zig Zag (16/1), Viserion (28/1), Corzeam (33/1), Overtheedge (40/1), Gars Bar Dine (50/1)
Some interesting contenders and the market may prove to be very useful here as a guide. Always Resolute for the in-form Ian Williams yard is well treated on his old form with Age Of Glory another with handicapping scope if he’s ready to go. Sleepy Haven gets the chance to run off his old mark here (goes up 5lb in future races) while Blue Hussar is worth a try at this trip over hurdles having been a strong stayer on the Flat. GLOBAL RULER shaped very well at Hereford last time when an unfancied 33-1 chance but he’s unlikely to be that sort of price this time with a first-time tongue tie applied.
