Left hurdles form well behind over fences starting with a second before three straight wins culminating in latest 4L success at Cork (2m4f). All wins on good ground but handled soft over hurdles so looks a leading contender regardless.

C&D winner on chasing debut was found out next in a Grade Two when fourth of five beaten 15½L. This more realistic but at these terms he has plenty to do now.

Grade One placed bumper performer was a little disappointing over hurdles although he did win once at odds of 1/4. Bred for chasing however and made a most impressive start at Fairyhouse so should now start to fulfil his potential. Leading claims.

Some way short of some of these over hurdles although he did manage one win at Wexford. Impressive however in recent chase debut at Fairyhouse where he survived a last fence error. More needed now but chasing maybe the making of him.

Dual hurdle winner bowed out with a Grade One third behind the superstar Laurina who she was no match for. Bred for fences so has to be respected here and hurdles form gives her realistic chance for trainer prolific at this venue.

Once winning hurdler was 33/1 for chase debut and fell three out in race won by Poli Roi. Plenty to prove overall and looks up against it.

Fairyhouse winner on hurdles bow in April next finished second at Sligo before pulling up as if something amiss next at Roscommon. Now switches to fences but stablemate Shady Operator appeals more.

Forecasts

Poli Roi (11/8), Judgement Day (7/2), Alletrix (9/2), Shady Operator (13/2), Kildorrery (7/1), Quamino (9/1), Uisce Beatha (10/1), Tara Mia (50/1)

Verdict

Gigginstown pair POLI ROI and Judgement Day make the most appeal with preference for the former who has only raced once over fences and won impressively. The latter has a clear experience edge and could have done little more winning three on the bounce but Poli Roi gets the nod due to him having more scope to improve. Of those tackling fences for the first time the duo of Alletrix and Shady Operator make the most appeal with slight preference for Jessica Harrington's mare.
  1. Poli Roi
  2. Judgement Day
  3. Alletrix
