Shantou gelding has shown promise over timber, including when second at Down Royal in May over 2m on most recent start. Worth another go at 2m4f (blundered chance away at Fairyhouse) and stable starting to motor.
€255,000 purchase as a three-year-old who made an impressive bumper debut when scoring at this track in December. Well held in Naas Grade 2 after but runner-up at Down Royal in this grade on return to action and big player now.
Network gelding, returning from a break and second start over timber when 7½L fourth of 11 in 2m4f Fairyhouse maiden this month. Entitled to have more to offer.
Tailed off in Listowel maiden hurdle in September over similar trip having gone off a 40/1 chance on rules bow. Big step up needed now.
Some smart French Flat form on CV, but not a lot to shout about in trio of hurdles outings thus far, including this month over 2m3f at Naas (good to yielding) when tailed off. Others preferred.
Easily won a Roscommon bumper in May over this trip and less than 5L down in third of 15 on reappearance at Galway (2m3f, yielding) in a maiden hurdle last month on reappearance. Form is decent and big chance if ironing out his jumping.
Stowaway gelding, well held in one point-to-point run back in April 2017. Has joined top trainer for rules career, though perhaps best watched for now unless vibes are strong.
Looked a temperamental sort at Wexford in July getting rid of his rider after attempting to exit stage left. Pulled in maiden hurdles either side of that and hard to make legitimate case for now.
Looked quite a slow Getaway on sole bumper start more than a year ago and affirmed that suspicion on recent reappearance over timber at Fairyhouse (2m, good). Others preferred.
Weak finisher in point-to-point, often failing to get home. Remote fourth (41L) in Uttoxeter maiden hurdle in June (2m, good) and off since.
By prolific jumps sire Stowaway out of an unplaced mare in bumpers from a smart jumps family. Represents top yard but no sort of threat on debut at Thurles this month (was bumped early). May do better in time.
Gelding by Fairly Ransom out of a Witness Box mare related to French Grade 2 winner Korfou De Maspie. Some promise in bumpers and worth a betting check now going jumping.
Daughter of Robin Des Champs out of a Darazari mare, well held in all three starts, including hurdles bow at Thurles (2m, good to firm) this month. Third runner for Gordon Elliott in this contest.
Tailed off in 2m maiden hurdles at Limerick and Fairyhouse either side of a layoff, having gone off big prices in both. Easier to look elsewhere again.

Defi Bleu (4/6), Momus (11/4), Denwork (9/1), Dos Gardenias (12/1), Curious Times (14/1), Mormon (16/1), Cara's Way (33/1), Mister Fogpatches (33/1), Ming Dynasty (50/1), Pottsie (50/1), Load Up Time (66/1), Frankly All Talk (100/1), Quick Getaway (100/1), Swarez (100/1), Knockatoo Hill (100/1)
MOMUS gets the nod in the opener. One of a quintet in the Gigginstown silks, he confirmed the promise of his Roscommon bumper win when finishing third at Galway on his reappearance last month. The winner has landed a Grade 3 and the fourth has struck in handicap company subsequently, lending the form a decent complexion. Defi Bleu was also promising on reappearance at Down Royal and rates the most likely of the Elliott trio while Curious Times, Denwork and Mister Fogpatches merit a look in the betting.
