Archies Lad⁸

Age: 2| Weight: 8-12| J: T Hamilton| T: R A Fahey| OR: 68

10/3

Five-race maiden who is well well in on these terms based on her two placed efforts on the turf. Below that in two starts on the AW but has to be a leading player in this grade.

Form: 62395

(1)

Casting⁹

Age: 2| Weight: 8-12| J: Rossa Ryan| T: R Hannon| OR: 56

8/1

Yet to impress in fours starts to date and needs to find plenty of improvement for the drop in grade. Others preferred.

Form: 0897

(9)

Royal Dancer¹⁸

Age: 2| Weight: 8-12| J: Oisin Murphy| T: S Kirk| OR: 59

4/1

His second at Leicester would put him very much in the mix off these terms but has now been well beaten in all three starts on the AW at Kempton. Bit to prove switched to this surface.

Form: 096209

(2)

Bridlemere Court³⁷

Age: 2| Weight: 8-7| J: Hayley Turner| T: D R C Elsworth| OR: 40

14/1

Has only beaten two horses home in three well beaten efforts to date. Remains hard to make a case for.

Form: 068

(3)

Charline^t1⁴⁷

Age: 2| Weight: 8-7| J: Gabriele Malune⁽⁵⁾| T: M Botti

14/1

Always behind over 7f at Kempton on debut and quickly dropped in grade. One to watch until signs of promise.

Form: 0

(7)

Feel The Noize^b1⁷

Age: 2| Weight: 8-7| J: David Probert| T: Rae Guest| OR: 51

7/1

Yet to make the frame in six starts at shorter distances. More required down in grade and in first-time blinkers.

Form: 655767

(8)

Jewel of The Sea⁹

Age: 2| Weight: 8-7| J: J F Egan| T: R M H Cowell| OR: 56

8/1

Remains a maiden after eight starts but has stamina in breeding and has shaped as though this extra distance may help. Wouldn't need too much extra to be involved.

Form: 584846

(6)

Um Shama¹⁸

Age: 2| Weight: 8-7| J: George Rooke⁽⁷⁾| T: R Hughes| OR: 62

3/1

Generally consistent in five starts without progressing but gets a significant drop in grade and well suited by these terms. Rates a leading contender.

Form: 235958

Non-Runners

(4)

Peters Pudding²

Weight: 8-12| Age: 2

T: P D Evans J: Non Runner

Forecasts

Um Shama (3/1), Archies Lad (10/3), Royal Dancer (4/1), Peters Pudding (11/2), Feel The Noize (7/1), Casting (8/1), Jewel of The Sea (8/1), Bridlemere Court (14/1), Charline (14/1)

Archies Lad is best weighted on these terms but there is the concern that he has yet to take to an AW surface. Peters Pudding and Um Shama are both consistent and should go close down in grade while JEWEL OF THE SEA may have plenty more to come now she finally moves up in distance and gets a narrow verdict.
