Modest recruit from the Flat where rated just 45. Well beaten on both hurdling starts and others have stronger claims.
12-race maiden on the Flat who was pitched into the Wensleydale for his hurdling debut. Showed little in easier company last time and hard to fancy here.
Made all to win a Bath handicap off a mark of 72 before joining this yard for 20,000 gns. Not pitched too high on hurdling debut.
Won at Leopardstown over 1m4f back in May and runner-up at Killarney off a mark of 74 on last start. Looked held when taking a crashing fall last week.
Moderate Flat handicapper who had Valkenburg behind when runner-up on hurdling bow. That form looks suspect with the favourite not running his race.
Flat winner in the spring who lost his way as the year progressed. Stable 2-13 with hurdlers in past five seasons.
Dual Flat winner up to 1m2f suited to a sound surface rated 72. In good hands and into a weak looking race for hurdles debut. Stable had two winners on this card last year.
Flat maiden whose mark dropped from 72 to 63 during the summer. Picked up for 6,000 gns last month and market best guide to chances.
Achieved only a basement handicap mark on the Flat and has been fairly comprehensively beaten in three hurdles starts. Blinkers applied this time.
28/1 winner on the Flat here who had the run of the race when third on Musselburgh hurdling bow. Looks held by Frame Rate but likely to press on from the front and those tactics do work here.
Winner over 7f on Flat who was ridden to get the trip on hurdling debut when a remote fourth in the Wensleydale. The form looks flattering but she could still be dangerous in this modest company
Forecasts
Liva (6/5), Valkenburg (11/2), Dagian (15/2), For Pleasure (8/1), Frame Rate (10/1), Marble Bar (12/1), Travel Lightly (14/1), Highland Bobby (22/1), Surrender (40/1), Canadian George (50/1), Allnite (150/1)
Valkenburg made all to score here on the Flat and was placed on another visit. The front-runner should have his own way and has place claims at least. Frame Rate finished ahead of him at Musselburgh but it could be different around here. That form did look suspect, however, and preference is for the McCain newcomer LIVA who will appreciate the predicted good ground and was one of the highest rated on the Flat having won twice. Dagian is another Flat winner on debut for a new yard, whilst Travel Lightly was a remote fourth in better company but was only rated 51 on the Flat and that may be a more accurate reflection of her ability.
- Liva
- Dagian
- Valkenburg
