By dual purpose sire Famous Name out of an unraced dam who is yet to produce a winner. Safe to assume she'll be sharper for the experience but others make a lot more appeal just now.

Cost €38,000 as a yearling and made a satisfactory debut at Carlisle last month. Lacked a change of gear on that occasion and needs to crank things up a couple of notches to figure. Highly respected though.
An unraced daughter of Dick Turpin (high class in the UK and a Group 1 winner in Italy) out of a half-sister to 2m winner Waterwing; not an immediate stand-out on paper and may be best watched on debut.

Showed inexperience by running in snatches on debut at Southwell last month; likely to have learned plenty and may be capable of making the frame if she can be restrained early. Solid jockey booking suggests that scenario is possible. Place claims.

Eyes Right
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: Wayne Hutchinson| T: A King
9/4
A stoutly-bred filly from a yard which is firing on all cylinders just now. One of the more interesting debutantes and should be monitored closely in the betting.

Fourth in an AQPS race on her debut run in France; obviously took plenty from that outing and made a highly pleasing bow in a bumper at Market Rasen last month. Up another 2f, which ought to suit. Shortlisted.

Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: Tom Broughton(10)| T: R Hobson

Ran green on debut and possibly flattered by her finishing position as she stayed on passed well-beaten horses near the finish. Others more appealing just now.

Lady Cylla
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: L P Aspell| T: T Lacey
9/2
Bred to get a trip in time but nothing outstanding enough in her pedigree that suggests she'll be precocious to produce an immediate winning return on her debut; still, notebooks to the ready as she's one for the future, nevertheless.
Limited appeal on breeding and yard struggling for winners just now; others make more appeal this time around.
Yard highly respected and the filly makes some appeal on pedigree (by Fame And Glory out of a stoutly-bred mare). Introduced at a modest level and could make an impact if raring to go at the first time of asking. The betting can guide.

Montelimar
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: W T Kennedy| T: A Crook
50/1
A daughter of high-class miler (and 1m2f performer), Ravens Pass, who is out of a mare who did very little over middle distances in a short career for Sir Michael Stoute. Looks a future prospect and makes only limited appeal on debut.

20/1
Yard going well and jockey riding on the crest of a wave at the moment. Ordinary breeding for a race of this nature but worth a betting check all the same.
By high-class middle distance performer Universal out of a mare yet to produce a winner under either code of racing. Yard highly respected but the filly is likely to be better once she gains more experience.

Tops No
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: Brendan Powell| T: W R Muir
33/1
Yard going well without breaking any records just now; worth a betting check but the Mount Nelson filly is another who may be more of a betting proposition once she knows more about what's going to be expected from her.
By Excelebration out of a mare who was a maiden winner over 7f; limited appeal with her yard struggling for winners; others preferred.

Eyes Right (9/4), Felicidad (5/2), Lady Cylla (9/2), Lunar Baby (8/1), Bergamot (14/1), Ainmisfearr (16/1), Parisian Affair (20/1), Little Charlotte (28/1), Especially So (33/1), Tops No (33/1), What About Barb (33/1), Filipine (40/1), Montelimar (50/1), Sleptwithmebootson (80/1), Devious Dicks Dame (100/1)

Verdict

FELICIDAD has already gone well for 7lb claimer Chester Williams and, given that the filly looked to be crying out for at least an extra couple of furlongs when she finished second at Market Rasen last month, the French-bred filly is a lively candidate to take this step up in trip in her stride. Bergamot can be expected to be sharper after her debut for the Skelton yard at Carlisle last month and is forwarded as a live danger. Similar comments apply to Eyes Right, who looks the most interesting of those yet to race. A betting market move for Sleptwithmebootson could also be rewarding to follow if there is any confidence from the on-course betting market.
  1. Felicidad
  2. Bergamot
  3. Eyes Right
