Offered little on his first run for this yard having previously been with Daniel Loughnane and he remains a maiden. Mark still looks a little high and assistance needed from the handicapper before he's of any interest.

Saffron Prince31
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-12| J: Callum McKinnes(7)| T: D G Bridgwater| OR:  100| D
15/2
Bounced back to form last time over fences at Stratford having been given cut some slack by the handicapper (6lb below his last winning mark). That was only a weak race though and he would be no banker to follow up returned to hurdles.

A winner on stable debut on the Flat at Brighton he didn't look an obvious type to follow up and has turned in a succession of poor efforts since then. Well beaten when unseating in selling company last time; has had some wind surgery.

Drops down in distance having run his last five starts over longer trips although none of those outings have been that inspiring. Well held last time at Bangor his mark continues to fall as the first-time cheekpieces are now applied.

A breathing op coupled with a switch to handicaps appear to have sparked some life into this one with both outing under those conditions being sound efforts. Still looked a little inexperienced last time (2nd; well backed); could make amends here.

Hurricane Ritab,t47
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-7| J: Daniel Sansom| T: C R Dore| OR:  95| D

Not the most straightforward and clearly has her quirks often following a good run with a bad run. Good effort when 2nd over fences in July but both subsequent efforts have left plenty to be desired; hard to catch right.

Theredballoon26
Age: 12|  Weight: 11-3| J: Kieron Edgar| T: L Allan| OR:  91| CD
16/1
Showed promise with his former yard but was only lightly-raced (form figures 3122) but doesn't look the easiest to train with long breaks between his runs. Returned from another long break last time bit showed little of his former promise.

Newquay Cardst13
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-8| J: Conor Ring(3)| T: Evan Williams| OR:  82
11/4
Has often had the look of one who could do better catching the eye on a few occasions although he's yet to win a race. Shaped as if he would be better for the run on his return at Chepstow; no surprise to see him go close here off this mark.
9

Talkingpicturestv43
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-7| J: Mr Jason Dixon(10)| T: Henry Oliver| OR:  81
12/1
Her bumper debut hinted that she had ability but she looked a little inexperienced and she's failed to match that form since in the same sphere and over hurdles. Started at 100-1 in all hurdles starts and now goes handicapping for the first time.

Forecasts

Stop Talking (5/4), Newquay Cards (11/4), Saffron Prince (15/2), Talkingpicturestv (12/1), St George's Oval (12/1), Theredballoon (16/1), Oregon Gold (22/1), Hurricane Rita (28/1), Dove Mountain (28/1)

Verdict

One or two of these have defiantly improved for going handicapping with chief amongst them STOP TALKING who has turned in two very diligent handicap efforts with inexperience possibly being her downfall last time at Chepstow. She actually finished with running left there and off a 3lb higher mark looks well treated here to get off the mark. Newquay Cards looks a similar sort and it’s not hard to see him in the shake up while the market will be worth noting for Dove Mountain after a wind op and Talkingpicturestv who goes handicapping for the first time. Saffron Prince is still on a decent mark but isn’t the most consistent.
  1. Stop Talking
  2. Newquay Cards
  3. Talkingpicturestv
