Has run plenty of decent races here without yet winning one. 3lb lower than when a 1½L second here (6f) in April and a neck second in January, so has to be considered.

Has a couple of decent Polytrack runs to his name from higher marks than this, but recent efforts suggest we should be looking elsewhere for the winner.

Sole win came on AW at Chelmsford (1m2f) about a year ago, when 15lb higher. No discernable improvement on first start after wind op at Newcastle last month, so will need to improve on that from 2lb lower.

Up 3lb for winning a similar race over C&D last time, and has generally been holding his form for some time. More needed from this mark and a much wider draw, but very much respected.

Scored at Newcastle (1m, Tapeta) in March, when 1lb higher. Took a step back in the right direction last time, when racing quite keenly after a break. Decent draw and he is interesting if settling better.

Loves it here and rarely runs a bad race at the track. Should be in the shake-up again, but current mark suggests that he is more of an each-way player.

Has won on both Fibresand and Polytrack, but is 0-11 here. Drops 2lb, but hard to fancy on recent evidence.

Took step back in the right direction when 3L second over C&D at the beginning of the month. More needed from the same mark, but an each-way possible again from inside draw.

Standing dish here, where he has earned 12 of his 13 career wins. Now 10lb lower than the last of those, early in 2017, and back up 3lb for a ½L defeat last time. Poor draw, but can't rule him out.

2lb higher than when scoring here over 1m1½f in August for John Butler. Below par on final run for him, and changed hands since. Not written off on stable debut, but needs to bounce back.

Won a Leicester seller (7f, good) in September, but well held in handicaps both runs since. Dropping to a more feasible mark, but has a bit to prove, including over this trip.

Out of sorts in all six starts under both codes in 2017, when with Paul Webber. Has since changed hands, but can only watch on stable debut after a year off.

Verdict

Moderate fayre to bring down the curtain on the card, and the suggestion is MAN OF VERVE, who handles Tapeta, is on a decent mark and looked to be heading back in the right direction last time. Idol Deputy has to be considered, given his tremendous record here, while Whatwouldyouknow, Berlios and Caledonia Duchess are the ones that appeal most of the remainder.
