Beaten by just one opponent in three starts, all over 1m, and improving. Could do so again for this step up in trip and she looks very much the one to beat, despite conceding weight.

Has shown promise on both his starts at Kempton (7f/1m). Looks as though this extra distance could help him take a step up, while blinkers may also help. Should be very competitive.

Show a fair degree of promise when 12-1 on debut at Nottingham (1m½f) last month, but beaten just ½L by odds-on favourite with 2L back to the third. If he can improve for that, then he could be a serious threat to the top weight here.

7-1 and had a quiet enough debut at Kempton (1m), when staying on for an 8¼L fourth. Should come on for that and be capable of getting more competitive this time.

Debut run (1m) was better marginally better than last time at Chelmsford (1m2f), when he was 1½L third. Open to improvement, but looking as though he might be worth stronger consideration when he has a handicap mark to work with.

Showed improved form when 1½L eighth in a Kempton maiden (1m) last time. Initial mark stiff enough based on that, but a similar rate of improvement or better should see her thereabouts again at the business end.

Forecasts

King Of Change (13/8), Mackaar (4/1), Meringue (6/1), Ever Changing (8/1), Numero Uno (9/1), Mondain (10/1), Amjaady (16/1), War Tiger (16/1), Dalmore (50/1)

Verdict

Meringue looks set to go well again, but takes on two other likely sorts here in Ever Changing, from the foot of the racecard, and AMJAADY. The latter gets the vote, having shown promise so far and now stepped up in trip with headgear on, which could chisel out further improvement. War Tiger is a very interesting debutant, while King Of Change is another potential threat to the selection.
  1. Amjaady
  2. Ever Changing
  3. Meringue
