Has made steady gains in three novice/maiden runs. Blinkers on for this first AW run/nursery debut and she will need some improvement to defy this mark. Can't rule her out nonetheless.
Tried to make all when favourite over C&D on nursery debut last time, finishing 4L sixth. Drops 2lb and blinkers now fitted. Has inside draw and looks likely to be a major player.
Won Catterick novice event (5f, good) in June. Beaten just ½L here over C&D last time, which was a step back in the right direction. Up 2lb, and drawn wide enough, so has a bit of improving to do, but not ruled out.
Has run well on both AW and turf from similar marks of late. Bit more needed, but if at his best he is entitled to enter calculations.
Seeking a hat-trick after wins over 7f/1m at Chelmsford on his last two starts. Another 4lb rise to contend with, as well as a wide draw. Can't dismiss him, but form so far suggests he will need a career-best to win again.
Not at his best when stepped up to 1m at Redcar last time, that following a career-best at Redcar. Back down 1lb, but has a bit to prove over the trip and on this surface.
Has run well here already and is on a fair mark based on a couple of her runs. Not ruled out on her nursery debut.
Took a decent step back in the right direction here over 7f last time, from this mark. Step up in trip could help her make further progress. Has a good draw to work with and it would be no surprise to see her go well.
Efforts so far have to go down in the 'disappointing' category. Drops 2lb after latest 12L Leicester defeat, with blinkers now applied, together with a step up in trip. Wouldn't write her off if supported, but plenty to prove.
Hasn't really looked like winning yet, and resumes in nurseries 4lb lower than when he last had a go in August. Wouldn't rule him out from being reasonably competitive, but others make more appeal.
Still early days, but gives the impression that this latest 1lb drop won't be enough, especially from 2lb 'wrong'.
Forecasts
Love Kisses (9/2), So Hi Storm (9/2), Li Kui (5/1), Shagalla (11/2), Reeth (8/1), Elegant Love (9/1), Glorious Dane (9/1), Emily's Sea (14/1), Be Proud (18/1), Thebah (28/1), Emily's Rose (80/1)
So Hi Storm is an obvious starting point, but he may be vulnerable today considering his CV this far, and REETH is given the vote in the hope that headgear can help him get it right this time. He also has the inside rail, if he can break well. Love Kisses, Emily's Sea, Shagalla and Elegant Love are others who could go well.
- Reeth
- So Hi Storm
- Emily's Sea
