Three of her four wins have come in higher grade including Listed company. Back to last winning mark but yet to win beyond 7f and 0-4 on AW.
Has developed a few quirks since an 8L AW maiden success for Andrew Balding. Has decent form in much better company than this but the market will be required to guide on first run in over a year.
Has two wins and a place from four runs here. Now 3lb above last winning mark, but off since June and best has come over further.
Has left Hughie Morrison for 9,000gns since finishing a well beaten ninth of ten in September; both of his previous wins have come on Tapeta at Wolverhampton (7f-1m+).
Now 18 months without a win. Has been racing off higher marks in better company, but latest effort did not suggest he was ready to capitalise.
Six-time winner has struggled for form in 2018 and two runs for this yard have failed to show any improvement. An AW record of 0-4 also fails to inspire.
Sole win for Mark Johnston came on heavy ground at Hamilton and two previous AW outings produced below-par efforts.
Narrow winner of two minor races on Tapeta. Cheekpieces applied here indicate he may have been holding something back and opening handicap mark is not excessive.
Has won five races this year in lower grades. This is an above average Class 4 and others are potentially better treated.
Scored off this mark over 7f in July and has won here over the same trip. Drawn wide on first try at a mile but stable 3-8 in past fortnight.
Forecasts
Sun Hat (11/4), Itsakindamagic (4/1), Tom's Rock (4/1), Marshal Dan (7/1), Rebel Assault (9/1), Makaarim (12/1), Rampant Lion (14/1), Gossiping (14/1), De Vegas Kid (16/1), Frank Bridge (20/1)
A good race for the grade with Rebel Assault, Itsakindofmagic, Frank Bridge and Gossiping all boasting good form in better grades than this. All have doubts to overcome here though and the three-year-olds Sun Hat and MARSHAL DAN make more appeal. The former has won twice on Tapeta and an opening mark of 78 looks undemanding, particularly if cheekpieces unlock further improvement. However, the selection has proven himself off this mark, arrives in form for a yard going well and looks ready for the step up to a mile.
- Marshal Dan
- Sun Hat
- Rebel Assault
