Sprang a 33/1 shock when making all by 6L at Musselburgh in September. Hasn't been in the same form since on turf and now reverts to the AW for the first time since April. Mark is fine but not the easiest to catch right.
Put some disappointing efforts behind him when runner up at Chelmsford last week over 7f. The drop in trip isn't a problem and looks one of the likelier types in a weak finale.
A pair of turf wins back in the spring but has little AW form to boast and first time visor needs to work.
Latest run can be ignored having been hampered at halfway. Not often seen on AW but has shown form in the past on this surface and worth monitoring in the market for any confidence.
Has run with credit both attempts since dropping down to 6f and his third here a fortnight ago reads well in this weaker race. Now sports a visor having tried pieces and blinkers last two runs.
Won at Dundalk last Christmas but has really struggled for form since switching yards and plenty to prove at present.
Had been out of sorts for a long time but returned to form over C&D when second recently and a repeat would put him in the mix especially as the draw on this occasion has been kinder to him.
Plenty of winning from down the years but 2018 has been a write off for him and hard to fancy on recent evidence.
Front-runner who ran creditably when third over 5f here last time but just one win fro last 38 starts is cause for concern.
Forecasts
Nutini (13/8), Shyarch (2/1), Tellovoi (7/1), Deer Song (10/1), Frank Cool (12/1), Monarch Maid (12/1), Who Told Jo Jo (33/1), Chicago School (40/1), Compton Prince (50/1)
In a race that will take little winning SHYARCH is probably the safest option with the plum draw to help. Deer Song bounced back to form last time and a repeat would see him go close while Nutini won't mind the drop in trip and is worth a second look.
- Shyarch
- Deer Song
- Nutini
