Had been in good from prior to being tailed off here over 3m1f last month when clearly not seeing out the longer trip. Drops back significantly in distance today and needs to bounce back to the earlier form with cheekpieces applied.

Been in terrific form of late having won two of his last three in good style. Only 4lb higher here but actually well-in given his riders claim and will be very hard to contain if he runs to a similar level here.

Well held on return to action here over 2m last month. Lightly raced and step up in trip promises to suit so has something to build on here.

Beaten a long well on handicap debut back in November 2016. Off the track for 735 days since and very much likely to need this.

Looked to have a future when with Willie Mullins but has been beaten a very long way on all four starts in handicaps so far and has dropped a total of 16lb in the weights. Impossible to fancy despite the fact here is clearly on a good mark.

Still a maiden after 11 starts but looked to be getting to grips with things when last seen back in May. Returns from a summer break now and with conditions fine, could go well.

Has had five starts so far over hurdles and has shown next to nothing. Best watched until showing some sort of improvement.

On a nice mark and travelled well for a long way here over 3m1f last month. Drop back in trip looks a good move and leading rider keeps the ride. Interesting especially if strong in the market.

Not been with this yard very long and they tend to eek out a bit of improvement when required. badly out of sorts of late though but attractively handicapped as a result. Market check essential.

Just the three wins in 43 starts, so clearly no win machine, and mark falling quickly after a few moderate efforts lately. Conditions fine but really not hard to look elsewhere for the winner.

Forecasts

Kingston (11/4), Polarbrook (11/4), Western Storm (11/4), Dyliev (8/1), Oologist (12/1), John Biscuit (14/1), Indian Reel (25/1), Torrent Des Mottes (40/1), Muilean Na Madog (40/1), Monsart (50/1)

Verdict

Kingston is in terrific form and is likely to be pretty tough to beat if in the same mood as when winning at Uttoxeter last time. A couple of these are lurking on dangerous marks however and a chance is taken that POLARBROOK can get back to winning ways here under Brian Hughes. He travelled well for a long way here over further last time and is on a good mark. Oologist is best of the rest.
  1. Polarbrook
  2. Kingston
  3. Oologist
