Tough and consistent novice chaser last season when he was placed at the Cheltenham and Aintree Festivals. Has something to find with Terrefort on the latter running and this looks a warm-up for a tilt at Newbury's Ladbrokes Trophy.

Had Elegant Escape back in third when winning at Aintree in the spring. That capped a fine series of efforts and this looks a stepping stone to even better things with the Ladbrokes Trophy among his options.

Landed a big handicap at the Cheltenham Festival in March and was probably over the top when pulling up behind Terrefort at Aintree. Ran as though the race was needed at Chepstow on reappearance and should do better this time.

Progressive over fences last season, ending his campaign when landing a gamble in a valuable handicap chase at Aintree. Unexposed and is held in high regard by connections.

Verdict

A cracking contest in which all four runners hold entries in next month's valuable Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury. TERREFORT comfortably holds Elegant Escape and Coo Star Sivola on Aintree running in the spring, but it may not be quite so clear-cut this time as those rivals were completing a tough campaign and may have more to offer. That said, the selection landed a Grade 1 contest around this track and looks the most likely winner with his top stable, who sent out Might Bite to win this last year, in fine form. Thomas Patrick looked good in the spring and has to enter calculations.
