Very consistent over the summer months and gained a well deserved victory at Perth in August and still looked in form when last seen at Market Rasen. Rather unlucky there to meet one cashing in on a falling mark; still capable off this mark.
Not really bred to be a chaser but off the mark at the first attempt over slightly shorter at Huntingdon having won off 1lb lower over hurdles. That win came off a break and he looked fit enough for his return so may not have much progress left.
Ran well in a bumper and over hurdles around here (won a novice hurdle here) but shaped with some potential on his chasing debut (off a break). Dropped 1lb for that promising run (may well have needed it); unexposed over trips like this.
His jumping has proved to be a little hit-and-miss so far despite a good effort to get off the mark in this sphere at Doncaster (3m, soft). Ran with credit when last seen in a decent Ayr handicap (took time to warm up); still has potential.
The two handicap chases that he landed in the spring were weaker tasks than he's handed today and the break plus a 5lb higher mark may be enough to hold back here. Responds well to pressure but may find things happening too quickly here.
