Six-race maiden; effective between 5f-6f; made much of the running on AW debut over C&D last month before weakening inside the final furlong and finishing 2½L fourth to Aldana (fillies' novice stakes).
Had proved disappointing since winning a 6f Chepstow novice (good) in June until returning to form with a neck defeat by Uncle Norman at Leicester (7f, good to soft) latest; makes his first start on Polytrack tonight.
Has shown improved form lately, and was off the mark at the seventh attempt at Kempton (7f) 13 days ago; 6lb higher mark tonight, but no reason as to why a drop back in trip should inconvenience.
2-3 on the AW; races off a mark 7lb higher than when scoring by just under 2L at Newcastle (6f) last month; broadly likeable type who should be on the premises.
Took a notable step forward when dropped back to 5f for just his second AW start, beating Staycation by 1¼L; 4lb higher and back up in trip, but certainly not discounted.
£15,500 yearling who has shown some basic signs of ability (albeit his form probably isn't the strongest); handicap debut.
Seven-race maiden; finished a close up seventh (100/1) in a valuable sales race at Newmarket (6f) in early October, but rates as generally unconvincing overall; cheekpieces added to tongue-tie.
0-4 on the AW and doesn't appear to be progressing; produced another modest effort over 7f here last month (finished eighth of ten), and is safely held by Uncle Jerry on that form.
30,000gns juvenile; slow learner who was out of his depth when last seen in competitive action at Haydock (6f, good to soft) in September; market a possible guide on handicap/AW debut.
20,000gns yearling; 0-5 over 5f (mainly on turf); upped in trip for handicap debut for a trainer with a 21% Chelmsford strike-rate (20-95); significant improvement required.
Held sixth of 11 on nursery debut at Ffos Las (6f, good to soft) in September, with little reason to expect a return to the AW to be enough for a breakthrough success; unconsidered.

Forecasts
Uncle Jerry (11/4), Antonia Clara (9/2), Melgate Magic (9/2), Griggy (7/1), Chitra (7/1), Sandridge Lad (8/1), Strawberry Jack (10/1), Balata Bay (14/1), Capala (14/1), Society Shock (25/1), Whelans Way (33/1), Halle's Harbour (50/1)
Not a lot of strength in depth, so recent winning form is the most obvious starting point. Chitra is a broadly likeable filly with a solid AW profile (2-3), so she should be thereabouts despite switching from Tapeta and racing off a 7lb higher mark than when scoring at Newcastle. Sandridge Lad was a course winner over 5f latest, and he's not discounted for Newmarket handler John Ryan, but the advice is to stick with the improving UNCLE JERRY. He also has previous Chelmsford experience and there's no obvious reason to anticipate that the drop back in trip (to 6f) will prove disadvantageous tonight.
- Uncle Jerry
- Antonia Clara
