25/1
Sent off at a big price on debut at Gowran Park over 2m last month. Disputed third approaching two out before weakening after the last, eventually dropping to fifth of 10. Open to improvement.
2
Horse silk
Dalluna21
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: M A Enright| T: E Griffin
100/1
Has appeared over-whelmed in a couple of career starts last month. Hard to make a case for until showing a hint of ability.
3
Horse silk
50/1
Well held on debut in a mistake-laden 2m½f Ballinrobe maiden hurdle in September when beaten 28L. Looks up against it here.

Flat To The Max46
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: Jack Kennedy| T: G Elliott| BF
11/8
Only got as far as the first as the 11/10f on debut at Ballinrobe in September when unseating after a blunder. Likely to be well prepped on return to action.
5
Horse silk
12/1
Gelding by Intello out of a Silver Hawk mare. Winner over 1m1f and a fine second of 10 over 1m2f when based in France. Worth noting any market move.

Irish Ministert14
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: D G Hogan| T: D Hogan
25/1
Nothing of note in a couple of dispiriting displays over a month ago well beaten on both occasions. Vast improvement needed to figure.
7
Horse silk
25/1
Five race maiden over hurdles but put in an encouraging display at Gowran Park over 2m on good ground last month. Needs to improve once again but not ruled out.
8
Horse silk
100/1
Well beaten and no impression in a couple of dismal efforts at Listowel and Punchestown recently. First time blinkers unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.
9
Horse silk
Pak Army161
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: Donagh Meyler| T: J R Barry
66/1
Regressive 54-rated Flat handicapper. Yard two from 23 with their hurdlers this term so any market move should be monitored.
10
Horse silk
Union Gap8
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: M Browne(7)| T: N Meade
50/1
Modest 58-rated handicapper on the Flat, but can be expected to improve on maiden hurdle debut at Down Royal in August, given the most recent form of the yard. Worth a market check.
11
Horse silk
12/1
Useful 66-rated handicapper on the Flat over the summer but has generally been disappointing in his first two hurdle starts, well held on each occasion including a 54L defeat at Down Royal on Saturday when badly hampered. Not to be taken lightly.
12
Horse silk
50/1
Difficult to make a case for following a couple of dour maiden hurdle spins since August when weakening some way out on each occasion. Others preferred.
14
Horse silk
Dawn Hooferh21
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-5| J: B J Cooper| T: P Nolan
5/2
Produced an eye-catching and promising debut performance on hurdling debut in a Punchestown maiden last month on first start for the yard. Enters calculations here.
16
Horse silk
33/1
Last of 13 in the Group 1 Irish 1,000 guineas earlier in the year and largely well beaten on the Flat since. Watching brief on hurdling debut.
First Reserve: Encouraging second of 15 beaten 1¾L on debut in September on the Flat and may have been on the wrong side at Gowran Park last month. Worth a market check if making the line-up.
Third Reserve: Filly by Minashki out of a Silvano mare. Market likely to be the best guide to chances if lining up.

Verdict

DAWN HOOFER, produced an eye-catching and promising debut performance on hurdling debut in a Punchestown maiden last month when running the likable Smiling Eliza to 6L. The Paul Nolan-trained filly can see of the challenge of Flat To The Max who appears to be the biggest threat here. It's Paddys Day and the Gordon Elliott-trained Viscount Wilson can battle for the remaining place in the opener.
  1. Dawn Hoofer
  2. Flat To The Max
  3. Viscount Wilson
