Multiple winner over the larger obstacles but has appeared to have lost his way recently. Two from 10 over hurdles, remains to be seen whether the switch to timber sparks any hint of a return to form.
2m2f Kilbeggan maiden hurdle winner who has continued to run well in defeat, though was well held behind Smithscorner here when fifth of 12 last month.
Modest 116-rated chaser who returns to hurdling here. Last win over timber came over two years ago off a 4lb higher mark. Out of confidence this season and others preferred.
Has not reproduced the form of his 1¾L defeat at Naas in January in four dismal efforts since. Plenty to find on first start since May.
Promising signs last time when running Smithscorer to 1¾L here last month on good ground. First-time tongue-tie fitted and liable to make his presence felt here.
Consistently running well in defeat including at Down Royal and Clonmel recently. Plenty to prove in this contest looking at exposed form.
Put a couple of desperate maiden hurdle runs behind him when landing a Roscommon maiden and running well in defeat when moving in to novice company at Galway last month. Worth a market check on handicap debut.
11-race maiden who was beaten favourite in a 2m½f Galway handicap hurdle when last seen in September finishing ¾L down on Baby Bellini in an encouraging run. Each way claims.
Winner of a Wexford maiden hurdle at the third time of asking in May before a shuddering defeat on handicap debut at Downpatrick when last seen in June. Looks vulnerable in this company.
Chasing lately without success but won a Tramore maiden hurdle in April off a similar mark. More needed in this company.
Solid and consistent hurdler who is three from 22 over timber with three place positions to boot. Still racing 6lb higher than last winning mark and appears up against it here.
Winner of a handicap hurdle on stable debut here last month off a 6lb higher mark. Gives the impression we may not have seen the best of him yet.
Winner over hurdles at the sixth time of asking for connections when landing a Tramore 2m5f maiden last month off a 5lb lower mark. Needs to improve once again in this contest.
Has missed a lot of racing recently and finished 10th of 12, tailed off on return to action at Downpatrick when last seen in June. Hard to see him making any significant impact.
Well down the field on his two most recent starts over hurdles, the latest of which came in September and overall form doesn't warrant support here.
Distance winner who has been struggling off his revised mark since winning a Killarney handicap off an 11lb lower mark in July. Appears to need some relief from the handicapper.
Winner of a 2m4f Tipperary maiden hurdle last month off a 1lb lower mark in what appeared to be a weak looking contest. Needs to improve once again here.
Twice runner-up at Ballinrobe this season, but patchy form otherwise. Still racing from a difficult 13lb higher mark than last win as handicapper refuses to relent.
Just the single win over hurdles from 18 starts and even his best form would leave him short of what is required to play a role here.
Improved on a number of disappointing starts when running well in defeat at Roscommon and Clonmel. Well held at Downpatrick last month on her latest start and easily dismissed here.
Finally got off the mark over hurdles at the 19th attempt in a 2m4f handicap at Wexford. Slipped up following a mistake when still in touch at Clonmel in September. More improvement needed.
Five-race maiden over hurdles and first time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.
Did not build on win at Galway over 12-months ago when well held in three starts at the turn of the year. Others make more appeal.

SMITHSCORNER shaped well to land a handicap hurdle on stable debut here last month and can follow up in this competitive contest off a 6lb higher mark. Michael Kennedy's six-year-old can once again hold off the challenge of the potentially well-handicapped Arctic Light who ran the selection to 1¾L last month. Banjo and Bye Bye O Bye could go well at a price.
- Smithscorner
- Arctic Light
- Banjo
