Big Bad Bob filly cost just 2,000gns as a yearling and was sent off at triple-figure odds when slowly away and well beaten on her first start. Hard to make any sort of case for.

Daughter of Canford Cliffs went unsold at 18,000gns as a yearling. Trainer not noted for juvenile winners and likely best watched on debut.

40/1
€20,000 yearling who is a half-sister to six winners in Italy. Best run of four came when third in a Wolverhampton maiden and likely to find this a very stiff task.

Dubawi filly, a half-sister to four winners all of them useful with the most notable Group One winner Ajman Princess. Third in both starts over this C&D and while not improving in her second start, the winner has since been placed at Group 3 level.

Beautifully-bred by Frankel out of the 1000 Guineas third Maqaasid. Represents powerful connections on debut and should be a leading contender.

100/1
Swiss Spirit filly who was withdrawn ahead of intended Newbury debut when losing a shoe on the way to post. Doesn't catch the eye for a yard not noted at all for juvenile winners.

33/1
Daughter of Charm Spirit whose price dropped from 35,000gns as a foal to 25,000gns as a yearling. Stable has just had one juvenile winner this campaign and best watched on debut.

By Nathaniel out a dam who was a two-year-old winner. Stable in decent form and capable of readying a newcomer. Rates as one of the more likely types.

Horse silk
20/1
€70,000 daughter of Lope De Vega related to five winners including Dylan Mouth. Disappointingly easily beaten when fancied on debut. Drop in trip may help and stable's runners can leave their debuts well behind but others preferred.

Horse silk
10/1
Third foal who on breeding will appreciate a stronger test of stamina in time. Stable among the two-year-old winners where the market hasn't necessarily been a guide. Respected first-starter.

Horse silk
66/1
47,000gns yearling by Le Havre is half-sister to a 7-1m2f winner. Sent off at long odds on both starts to date without showing enough promise. Easy to overlook.

Forecasts

Imperial Charm (11/10), Jadeerah (2/1), Oydis (7/1), Vakilita (10/1), Poetic Legacy (20/1), Masai Spirit (33/1), Elsie Violet (40/1), Dolly McQueen (50/1), Vin D'Honneur (66/1), Alyx Vance (100/1), Laguna Spirit (100/1)

Verdict

Jadeerah rates the most eye-catching of the debutantes, he represents a leading stable who won a division of this last year and is beautifully bred. IMPERIAL CHARM has run to a similar level in both starts so far and that sets a strong standard with his latest run backed up by a fast time and is also working out well. Oydis is the pick of the other newcomers while Vakilita is one to keep an eye on.
  1. Imperial Charm
  2. Jadeerah
  3. Oydis
