Placed in all three AW races to date, most recently when headed late on and second over 6f at Wolverhampton. Raised 1lb for that but looks sure to again make a bold bid.

Does most of her racing over 5f but ran well over C&D latest after a short break when beaten 2L into second (of 10). Same mark today so every reason to expect another solid showing and merits consideration.

15-race maiden has only run once on AW when third as a two-year-old. Made the frame three times in July but lost his way since in three unplaced efforts so easy enough to pass over now.

15-time winner (three in Jersey) bounced back when winning over C&D last time out where he stayed on strongly. Penalty makes life tougher but obvious candidate nonetheless. Also declared Lingfield, Thursday.

Maiden has showed some potential off higher handicap marks but latterly gone off the boil and ran no sort of race over C&D last time out. Cheekpieces now tried but hard to be confident.

C&D winner last February has only run twice this season since switching to this yard beating only one rival home in each over 7f at Wolverhampton. Potential off current mark but would want to see at least hints of old ability.

Gained maiden success here (7f) last time which somewhat came out of nowhere hence 14/1 odds. 4lb rise makes life harder but could well improve now and should have little problem dropping back to 6f for the first time.

Over two years since his lone win and recently returned after wind surgery with two laboured efforts on turf. AW form no more encouraging so tongue-tie is the only real possibility for a revival.

16-race maiden has been reasonably consistent of late with placed efforts at Bath and Wolverhampton before his fifth last time out. Place potential once again but hard to envisage better than that.

Won just one of his 49 starts although it did come here (5f). Second here in the winter followed by seven unplaced runs with his latest sixth here one of the better runs. Hard to be confident.

Only win came in 2015 for Simon Crisford. Losing streak now at 27 and unplaced in the last eight of those so very easy to pass over.

Forecasts

Father Mckenzie (4/1), Swiss Cross (4/1), Soar Above (6/1), Kraka (13/2), Spanish Star (7/1), Jeopardy John (9/1), Avon Green (12/1), Artscape (12/1), Stopdworldnletmeof (16/1), Rising Sunshine (25/1), Mostashreqah (40/1), Deer Song (66/1)

Verdict

KRAKA is yet to win on the AW but has made the frame in all three starts including a narrow second at Wolverhampton latest. That form reads well here and he gets the vote in a tricky getting out stakes. Soar Above who won over 7f here last time out is an obvious danger providing that improved effort wasn't a one off and evergreen Swiss Cross is another worthy of consideration with the caveat that he is also declared at Lingfield on Thursday.
  1. Kraka
  2. Soar Above
  3. Swiss Cross
