The ground has not been ideal for her on her last couple of starts so can be excused although she didn't run at all badly. Having her first run on the AW today but every chance it will suit and she'll be a player on her best form.

Yet to get her head in front over further than a mile and steps up markedly in trip here. Well held in couple of similar events at York and Yarmouth before a career-best effort at Saint-Cloud last time. A repeat of that would give her a squeak.

Only just denied by smart stable companion Limini at Leopardstown before running midfield in the Cesarewitch at Newmarket last time. This is far less competitive than that and has leading claims with Jason Watson booked.

Not seen for almost a year when making a reappearance at Newmarket last month. Well held there and whilst she should come on for that, it is hard to know how much ability she retains. Would have a shout on her best form mind.

Tends to run well on the back of a break hence the gaps between some of here races. Went very close in a handicap at Newcastle last time but that form is some way below what is required to win this and plenty more needed.

Having a really good season and progressing nicely. Won three handicaps on the spin before being well held in a similar event to this at Bath last time. Needs to up her game to another level but probably capable.

On the upgrade having won really nicely at Newcastle two starts back in a handicap. She couldn't back that up under a penalty last time and a rise to this level asks firmer questions once again. Still improvement in the locker.

Only had three starts so far this year and although she is yet to win, she's acquitted herself well in some good races. Should find this to her liking and is a leading contender with plenty more to come. Hood on for the first time.

Really kicked into gear lately and having won at Sandown three starts back she demolished her field at Yarmouth last time. That form entitles her to have a crack at this level and there should be further improvement to come.

Won on her reappearance in April and then missed most of the summer. Returned to run well in a decent handicap at Newmarket last month and should be fitter for that. Sound claims if able to build on her earlier form.

Yet to win in four starts but has gone close in a couple of novice events. This is a sharp rise in class but she has untapped potential and she could improve enough to be competitive at this level.

Forecasts

Dramatic Queen (11/4), Alwaysandforever (7/2), Law Girl (9/2), Stream Song (6/1), Cross My Mind (11/1), Mystic Meg (12/1), Altra Vita (14/1), Pacharana (20/1), Stoney Broke (20/1), Isabella (25/1), Tolkyn (33/1)

Verdict

Law Girl has some strong form in the book at this level and is a major player with Jason Watson booked for the ride. William Haggas won this race last year and has sound claims once again with Dramatic Queen who has some of the best form in the book and is fitted with a hood this afternoon. Slight preference is for STREAM SONG who looked to have a bright future after winning well on her reappearance earlier in the year but has clearly had a few issues since. She blew away the cobwebs at Newmarket last time and could get back to winning ways here.
  1. Stream Song
  2. Law Girl
  3. Dramatic Queen
