Been running really well of late and rallied gamely to get back up over this trip at Nottingham three weeks ago. Effectively racing off the same mark as rider can claim here and is a C&D winner.
Well held on all five starts so far in 2018 and now returns after a six-month break. Lurking on a good mark and tongue-tie now added. Capable of going well if fit and ready for return on first start for new yard.
Wind operation and switch to handicaps did the trick when winning at Chelmsford two starts back. Struggled back on turf at Bath last time and needs to get back to that earlier form.
Still a maiden after eight starts and has looked a little one-paced at times. Mark slowly falling but needs a step forward now to take this. Cheekpieces go on for the first time.
Took advantage of drop in the weights when forging clear at Wolverhampton two starts back. Never really at the races off this 7lb higher mark at Kempton last time and needs to bounce back.
Has looked a little slow at times and that proved the case again when plugging on for a remote third at Kempton (1m3f, AW) last time. Drop in trip not certain to suit but mark is falling.
Improved of late and winner over C&D three starts back. Too free at Kempton next time and right back to best when a close second in the first-time cheekpieces at Wolverhampton last time. Same mark here and return to this venue a positive.
Winner here over C&D three starts back off a 5lb lower mark. Has struggled since though and ran a fairly lifeless race at Kempton last time. Needs the return to this venue to spark him back into gear.
Close second off this mark at Windsor in August but two poor shows since. Previous C&D winner who needs things to drop right from off the pace and first-time visor now added.
Sole AW win came off 3lb lower at Wolverhampton at the back-end of last year. Peak efforts tend to come on soft ground on turf and may find a few too strong here.
Still a maiden but has run some sound races especially on soft ground on turf. Mark tumbling all the time and still lightly raced so could be more to come.
Forecasts
Echo Cove (11/4), Bayston Hill (5/1), Pact Of Steel (5/1), Pink Phantom (11/2), Power Home (9/1), Serjeant Painter (9/1), Hackbridge (12/1), Ruby Gates (14/1), Betsalottie (16/1), Sosian (20/1), Helfire (66/1)
Bayston Hill has been running really well of late and got a deserved victory at Nottingham last time. He is effectively racing off the same mark here as his rider can claim today. It is highly unlikely we have seen the best of Sosian and it would be no surprise were she to get involved. PACT OF STEEL won on his last start here and having gone well last time can get back to winning ways once again.
- Pact Of Steel
- Bayston Hill
- Sosian
