Just the sole win from 27 starts and while he'll appreciate the return to an AW surface and this distance, his two recent runs have been disappointing.

Hurdler and chaser who has his first run on the Flat since 2016. Given a chance by the handicapper on best of his form but a bit to prove in this sphere.

Won a maiden for Dean Ivory and best run by far following wind surgery on third run for current stable when a narrow second over this C&D. Touch more required but possibilities if building on that improvement.

Well backed favourite when returning to the Flat over 2m here but couldn't get involved. Has form in the past over this distance and down a further pound. One of the more likely types.

13-race maiden who acted better on this surface when weakening in the final furlong over the C&D last start. May be vulnerable again at this trip.

23-race maiden on a consistent yet frustrating run of form considering he's placed the last five times. Was staying on over 1m3f and worth a try at this far and should be thereabouts again.

Likeable mare whose latest win made it three from her last six and now up a further 3lb. Saw out the step up in trip well last start but has looked better suited by an easier surface on turf.

Worth a go at this extra half furlong but has looked in the grip of the handicapper on her last three runs and 1lb drop may not be enough.

Fell early on over hurdles following a win in that sphere. Returns to the Flat on a competitive mark but yet to convince here and may be worth waiting for a return to Lingfield.

Much better on first try at 1m2f at Lingfield when getting stuck out wide before staying on well. Duly hit the line strongly again when winning at Chelmsford and should have more to offer at this trip.

Won twice at Newcastle in 2016 and best run of three starts since lengthy absence over 1m3f here last time. More required to be competitive.

Still 2lb lower than sole win over this C&D. Will appreciate the return to this surface but more needed off this current mark.

Beaten a long way out when completely tailed off on handicap debut and has shown nothing in four starts to suggest he can be involved.

Katabatika (7/2), Ross Raith Rover (6/1), Kirtling (6/1), Miss M (8/1), Topology (8/1), Howardian Hills (8/1), Widnes (9/1), Lily Ash (10/1), I'm Running Late (10/1), Delicate Kiss (12/1), Goldslinger (20/1), Prairie Town (33/1), Hermosa Vaquera (40/1), Just Another Idea (40/1)

Verdict

ROSS RAITH ROVER remains well handicapped after his narrow win and should only be suited by this extra test of stamina. Howardian Hills is a clear danger based on his recent run of form while Topology isn't one to get carried away with for win purposes but can place again. It will be interesting to note if the money comes for Goldslinger once more while I'm Running Late shouldn't be discounted.
