Well beaten in two bumper starts and shown very little since switch to the Flat. Hard to make a case for.

Papal Bull gelding, dam a half-sister to a winner over a similar trip and two hurdle winners. Makes debut and others preferred on evidence available.

Has failed to beaten a rival home in two starts to date, last of 17 when last seen at Cork earlier in the month. May need a switch to handicaps after this run.

Showed some promise on turf earlier in the campaign but didn't seem to take to AW racing here last time out. Drop in trip a possible excuse for that run but has a bit to prove and wide draw not ideal.

Well beaten on each of her five starts and can only be watched on her return from a lengthy absence here on yard debut.

Roderic O'Connor filly, dam a half-sister to a Group 3 winning juvenile. Looked very green on debut and probably best watched for now.
Elusive Pimpernel filly, cost €2,400 as a two-year-old. Dam a 1m winner and half-sister to a useful sprinter. Only beat one home on debut here and hard to fancy on all known form.

Improved from debut to place in a maiden at the Curragh but her propensity to start slowly has cost on two subsequent starts. Will need first-time cheekpieces to sharpen her up if she's going to have a say.

Has run well enough in three of her four runs in maiden company, including when fourth of 14 at Roscommon last time. A shade vulnerable to anything above average but she sets the standard on form.

Midshipman filly. Beaten out of sight on debut at Listowel last month. Steps up in trip and needs plenty more.

Forecasts

Laajidaal (15/8), Dawn Trouper (5/2), Intermedia (5/2), Carlyn (8/1), Point Taken (12/1), Lady Maritime (18/1), Barbie O'Conor (18/1), Baratheon (25/1), Elusive Intrusive (50/1), Jeremy's Delight (66/1), Tigernmas (80/1)

Verdict

While LAAJIDAAL could prove vulnerable to some of the unexposed runners in here, it's hard to know what to take her on with and she brings the best form to the table. Intermedia hasn't looked straightforward but can't be ruled out if first-time headgear works the oracle while Dawn Trouper cant be completely ruled out if the step back up in trip sees him in a better light.
  1. Laajidaal
