Best effort over hurdles when 6L second of 13 to Miss Tynte in mares handicap at Ludlow in April. Often paid to back this yard's chasers after a break, but yet to fire this season and best watched unless attracting support.

Has a poor completion rate over fences, but back to form when runner-up over C&D in August, and set to go close when falling in front at Wincanton last time. Every chance if that hasn't knocked his confidence.

Won in the mud at Chepstow (2m) last November, and placed on three of her last four starts over hurdles in the spring. Yard just 1-44 in new season, however, and passed over for that reason.

Won a handicap hurdle over Worcester's brush obstacles in May, and ran creditably when fourth of 8 to Farm The Rock in a novice handicap over 2m7f here last time. Type to do better over fences, and respected for prolific yard.

Best efforts have come at Kempton, and attracted support when in the frame from this mark over hurdles there in February/April. Should make a chaser, but needs to prove his effectiveness away from the Sunbury venue.

Ran well when third over 2m5f at Huntingdon in May, and heavily backed when fifth of 15 in a 2m4f handicap hurdle there on return from a break recently. Claims if taking to fences, although needs to see things out better.

Connections have struggled to find his best trip, but ran well in a 2m4f handicap hurdle at Southwell on return from a break recently, so worth persevering with at the distance, and bred to make a chaser.

Soundly beaten on all starts, but a bit more promise on penultimate start, and probably didn't stay 3m on handicap debut. Blinkers he wore there retained, and possible he will have benefitted from a recent breathing operation.

Age: 8|  Weight: 10-5| J: J E Moore| T: G Hanmer| OR:  84| C

Very well treated on fairly useful form shown in bumpers, but no impact over hurdles, including on handicap debut here earlier this month. Has a point-to-point background, though, so reasonable to expect him to do better now tackling fences.

Cnoc Sionp112
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-0| J: Brendan Powell| T: R Brotherton| OR:  78
66/1
Has won in the point-to-point field, and showed early promise over hurdles for Seamus Neville in Ireland, but no impact for current yard, including tried over fences last time, and cheekpieces reached for now.

Forecasts

Boy In A Bentley (5/2), Bolving (4/1), It's Buster (4/1), Sauvignon (15/2), Shroughmore Lass (8/1), Boughtbeforelunch (17/2), Longhousesignora (12/1), Loch Garman Aris (20/1), Cranbrook Causeway (20/1), Cnoc Sion (66/1)

Verdict

Boy In A Bentley is fairly useful when he stands up in this sphere, and may have won but for crashing out last time, but preference is for SAUVIGNON, who won over the mini-fences at Worcester in May and appeals as the type to pay her way over fences. Bolving needs to show he can do it away from Kempton, but remains well treated on his bumper form, and seemed to be getting his act together in the spring.
