Won a 6f novice event at Chepstow in June (good). Unable to make much impact in two nurseries so far (6f/1m). Tries different trip here. Still early days and 4lb drop will help, but more needed.
Has shown some promise in three novice contests at around 6f. Initial mark looks a bit on the stiff side for this nursery debut, but step up in trip offers potential for improvement. More needed, but market check prudent.
5lb lower now than two starts ago, when 2L second over this trip at Chelmsford (AW). Never in it over 1m back there last time, but has each-way claims if she can bounce back.
Has been inconsistent so far and enters nurseries needing to replicate or better his best effort so far (at Thirsk, 6f, good to firm, on his second start) to have any chance of breaking his duck at the sixth attempt, on his nursery debut.
Decent effort on her second start at Newbury (6f, good to firm) in August, but a bit disappointing when 6-1 but beating only two home at Catterick last time. Can't rule her out from this fair mark on nursery debut, but needs to fully fire.
Has shown some promise on his last two starts, the more recent at Catterick (6f, good), when 1¼L third from 1lb lower. Goes back up in trip here and it should suit, despite being well held when tried over 7½f at Lingfield in August. Not ruled out.
Back in better form last time when 1¼L fourth (in first-time visor) at Wolverhampton (7f, AW), from 1lb higher. A repeat effort back on turf should see him thereabouts.
Ran well to be 2½L third on his nursery debut at Wolverhampton (6f, AW) last month, from 1lb higher. Didn't need to be as good as that to win a Redcar claimer (7f, soft) last time, and looks to have solid claims back in a nursery from this mark.
2lb drop here to a more feasible mark and blinkers go on, both of which could help, so not ruled out on an each-way basis.

Forecasts
Such Promise (3/1), Axel Jacklin (3/1), Uncle Norman (5/1), Cognac Blue (5/1), Mr Spirit (6/1), Balata Bay (8/1), Peters Pudding (8/1), Barbara Hepworth (8/1), Salmon Fishing (14/1), Boorowa (25/1)
An open-looking heat where COGNAC BLUE is the suggestion. Richard Fahey's charge got off the mark last time and, although he will need to be better than that to follow up, he has already shown a bit more on his nursery debut last month. Axel Jacklin could present a danger along with Such Promise, while Mr Spirit, Boorowa and Peters Pudding are others of interest.
- Cognac Blue
- Axel Jacklin
