Has run well this season without adding to his seven career wins and the best of them came when short-headed at Chelmsford last time. Likely to go close again.

Gained a hard fought win at York in a competitive handicap before finishing last in the Balmoral at Royal Ascot. Was badly hampered and eased there and best to put a line through it. Can be competitive.

Below form in three starts since making all on stable and seasonal debut at Chester. Others preferred based on those recent runs.

You have to go back to 2015 for his last win in Doncaster's Spring Mile. All Flat wins have been at shorter than this and was poor on second start since lengthy layoff.

Posted two solid efforts since returning from 11 months off and now 2lb lower than last win. Still below his peak of last year and is a query at first try at this trip.

Progressive last year when he won twice and bowed out for the year with a good second. Best effort since came last time at Newmarket and looks to be peaking. Should be competitive.

Two starts last year saw him finish fourth in the Craven Stakes but disappointed in the Dante. Well beaten in the Spring Cup here on his return and down in grade at Haydock. Hard to fancy.

Last of 12 latest in Group Two Lillie Langtry Stakes at Goodwood. In good form previously and now down in grade and trip. Can't be dismissed.

Sole career win came over 7f at Sandown in July 2017 (as a juvenile). Generally consistent since without being progressive and stayed this trip well enough last time. Likely to be thereabouts again.

Won in a convincing manner at Nottingham and now has an 8lb rise to overcome. That was right up to his best and there could be more to come but others probably better handicapped now.

Stays two miles but proved well suited by this distance with an impressive win at Windsor. 6lb penalty and rise in class to overcome but there could be much more to come now.

Had some tough asks before getting back to near his best when down in grade at Ascot. Back up in class after a break and would ideally have preferred quicker ground.

Verdict

Banditry is racing well this campaign and it would be no surprise to see him get a deserved success. Narrow preference is for THISTIMENEXTYEAR with a fast run race at this trip likely to prove ideal following a stylish win. Shabbah is also respected following an easy success while Petrus is consistent and won't be far away. Aquarium got no run last time in top handicap company and is taken to return to his previous form.
