Triple winner here (2m/C&D/2m2f). 3lb higher than when last scoring at Carlisle in March. If back in that form he would have strong claims from this mark, but hasn't been quite as good since.
1lb lower than when scoring on soft at Ayr this time last year. Ran well over C&D (heavy) in April. Could come on for a recent run after a break, though ideally wants slower ground.
Both chase wins have been over further than this, but he went very close over 2m at Carlisle last week. Same mark today and cheekpieces now added. Should give a very good account.
Drops 1lb on his return to the racecourse after disappointing when last seen in May. Since had wind surgery and goes well here, so couldn't rule out a decent effort, but needs improvement to win.
Forecasts
Middlebrow (9/4), Vengeur De Guye (9/4), Chain Of Beacons (9/2), Civil Unrest (11/2), Sudski Star (11/2)
Sudski Star would be a danger to all here if back to his best, but he does have a little to prove now and a more solid option could be MIDDLEBROW, who arrives in good form, having gone close from this mark last week. Civil Unrest may be good enough to be next home.
