Davidoff gelding out of a Cadoudal mare. Cost €14,000 as a three-year-old and likely to run well on debut for leading trainer/jockey bumper combination.
Gelding by Pushkin out of a Kahysi mare. Half-brother to Persian Wind and hurdle winner The Mulcare Rover. Market likely to be the best guide here.
First-time hood for debut here for Tajraasi gelding out of a Buckskin mare. Unlikely to play a part in the finish.
Interesting bred gelding by Fame And Glory bt a Moscow Society mare. Well held in a couple of starts and not seen since July.
Modest form in a couple of point-to-point starts in the spring and worth a check in the betting on debut following his €35,000 purchase.
Milan gelding out of a Glacial Storm mare. Cost €30,000 half-brother to sturdy types, Jezki and One For Arthur. Promising debut here over C&D earlier this month but more needed here.
€33,000 as a three-year-old by Youmzain out of a Martaline mare. Plenty of winners on the dams side including Dynaste and Agrapart. Ran well in defeat in a number of bumpers last season but may struggle here on comeback.
Spirit One gelding out of a Northern Crystal mare related to multiple point-to-point winner Monsieur Gibraltar. Well held when down the field in a couple of bumpers in the spring and looks set to struggle in this contest.
Placed in three of his six bumpers to date but remains without a success. Hard to see him making any significant impact.
Improved on debut run last season when running Drop The Anchor to 3L in a Listowel contest last month. Improvement expected but up against a couple of strong types.
No Risk At All gelding out of a Kings Theatre mare. Cost €14,000 as a three-year-old. Plenty of promise when third of seven on debut at Tipperary earlier this month but much more needed in this contest.
Gelding by Fairly Ransom out of a Witness Box mare related to French Grade 2 winner Korfou De Maspie. Worth following in weaker contests.
A €56,000 three-year-old, No Risk At All gelding. Half-brother to multiple winners, including fairly useful chaser Torpille d'Ainay. Runner-up on both career starts to date but likely to get on the board here.
Papal Bull gelding out of a Monsun mare. Cost £65,000 earlier this year and market likely to reveal expectations on debut.
Forecasts
Abacadabras (1/1), Poker D'Ainay (5/1), Port Stanley (8/1), Eagle Roque (8/1), Kerrkenny Gold (14/1), Deployed (14/1), Mister Fogpatches (14/1), Gateway To Europe (20/1), Mason Jar (20/1), Duca Di Milano (33/1), Edelweis De L'aube (66/1), Beginagain (66/1), Bythesametoken (66/1), Buckbasil (66/1)
POKER D'AINAY is a tentative selection here for the Willie and Patrick Mullins team following a couple of early career defeats when finishing runner-up on each occasion. The Gigginstown House Stud-owned Abacadabras can prove to be the biggest danger on debut with the Noel Meade-trained Deployed and the £65,000 Port Stanley look the most attractive of the rest.
- Poker D'Ainay
- Abacadabras
- Port Stanley
