Scored at Newcastle (6f, AW) in January, when 5lb lower. Could have needed his reappearance earlier in the month. Unexposed over this trip and no surprise if he gets back on track.

Redcar novice winner (7f, good to firm) in May. Has bettered that at both Kempton and more recently back on turf at Newbury (7f, soft) last time. Up 3lb, so more needed, but not ruled out.

Won four times in the summer, all over 6f, the last of them being from 1lb higher. Looking exposed over that trip now, but worth a try over this trip (dam won over 1m). Can't rule him out.

Scored over 1m1f (good) at York in July, when 1lb lower. Respectable efforts in competitive races on his last two starts. Drops in trip and likely to give a good account.

Dual winner this year over this trip on fast ground. Went close from 2lb lower at Salisbury two starts ago, but more needed here and concern over slower conditions.

3lb higher than when winning at Carlisle (1m1f, good to soft, in first-time cheekpieces) on her penultimate start. Well held from this mark last time at Sandown. Bit to prove after that and over this shorter trip.

0-6, but went close on AW from 2lb higher for his previous trainer Martyn Meade. Has since changed hands and starts in cheekpieces for this trainer. Not ruled out.

Wolverhampton maiden winner (6f, AW) in February. Best handicap efforts entitle him to claims, but his AW form has so far been better than that on turf, so he has a bit to prove on his return from being gelded.

0-11. Back on the same mark as when going very close at York a year ago. Unexposed over this trip and not ruled out.

Scored over this trip at Carlisle in May (good to firm), but has been unable to kick on from there. Just 1lb higher than that success, so can't rule out with claimer up, but does need some sort of revival.

Forecasts

Dubai Acclaim (10/3), International Man (9/2), Robsdelight (5/1), Kyllachy Dragon (7/1), Miss Mumtaz (7/1), Knowing Glance (8/1), Roland Rocks (10/1), Tough Remedy (11/1), Glamorous Dream (12/1), Mr Wagyu (20/1), Sociologist (20/1)

Verdict

An open contest to bring the curtain down on the season, with Tough Remedy an interesting candidate after a recent run and Robsdelight another on the short-list. Mr Wagyu could kick on again now upped in trip, but preference is for INTERNATIONAL MAN, who should get the strong pace that he needs to bring his stamina into play back over this shorter trip. Sociologist and Kyllachy Dragon are others of interest.
  1. International Man
  2. Tough Remedy
  3. Robsdelight
